Hello everyone!!
My name is Bree, and my DF is Paul--together we are PunttinOnes!!
We are getting married at the World on 10-30-10 and we recieved APs from our wedding planner as a gift! We needed to go to see our Reception Venue on Friday, and since we were there...we made a quick trip to MK!!
Here is our quick TR!
Trip Recap/Update:
On Friday we went to Disney to check out our reception venue: The Napa Room at the California Grill! IT IS BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL! I am so happy that I voiced my concerns over our original venuethe Salon 8 at the Grand Floridian Convention Centerso that we had the opportunity to be offered the Napa Room! For those unfamiliar, this room is on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort, has floor to ceiling windows with a view of the Magic Kingdom to the left, and a view of Bay Lake to the right! I am beyond pleased! I am thrilled! Even DF was impressed! He said he felt like he was on top of the world! J
We arrived on property later than I had hopednearly 4:30 p.m.! We went straight to see the Napa Room, but were told we had to wait until at least 5:00 p.m. We shopped around the resort and returned at 5:00 only to have to wait some more. Close to 5:30 we finally got to see our room and it was lovely!
After our trip to the Contemporary, we took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom! *yay*
We didnt arrive until after 6:00, but thats okay! We toured main streetthere was a CM asking people what they were celebrating and I got a Just Engaged button! It was so fun! Everywhere we went CMs were congratulating us!! I really felt super special!!
We ended up walking around the park before deciding what to do. The lines for nearly everything were forever long. The line to meet the fairies? 60 minutes. The separate line to meet the Princesses? 45 minutes. Peter Pan? 50. Snow White? 40. Goodness!
So, we did the logical thing: We ate! LOl!
We went to the MK with a list of attractions we wanted to visit, but only got 3 things done! The Primary things we needed to do were: 1) See Venue 2) Collect Smashed Pennies 3) See Main Street Electrical Parade.
We went on the Swiss Family Tree houseone of my all time favs! We also did the Haunted MansionDFs fav! We went to Tom Sawyers IslandI love it, but DF had never been! Lastly, we lined up at 8:30 to get a prime spot for the Parade. That was the goal of the tripto see our wedding reception venue and to see the parade! So we are sitting at the rope waiting and about 10 minutes before the Parade started a family with two kids in strollers pulled up behind us. The boy child proceeded to kick my back. Repeatedly. His mother gently scolded him to stop, but he didnt. Go figure. I scooted up until I was sitting right under the rope and then the little punk darling couldnt reach me anymore.
After we stopped at a store on main street and picked up a gift for fathers day for FIL and then went home. J
Lovely and quick trip!
