Pumpkins and Pirates and Cowboys... Oh my! Our dream Disney TR!

I love reading about your trips to Fenway! :thumbsup2 Fenway is a very magical place.

We have Shipping up to Boston as one of the songs on the ipod for the Wedding. I love that song. Not wedding like, but....it works. :goodvibes I like to think it signifies my move to Massachusetts.

Having UC stinks. There is too much restrictions and it is too bad some of the things I can not eat... some of them are down right odd...

Here are the main things I can not eat:

Milk Chocolate
White Chocolate
Wheat or Multi whole grain bread
Seafood of ANY kind
Plain Water (I drink watered down juice to stay hydrated)
(the list goes on)

So with the change in bread at the World I called to have them put a note on our reservations about the big ones.

So the CM, who was not as pleasant as most, put the note in and gave me the numbers to reach the chefs at Epcot, MK, DHS, and AK to call and ask about the breads. I tried to joke around but he was having no part of it.

So I called Epcot and got VM I asked and left my e-mail for Theresa to get back to me.

So that is where I stand... The CM couldn't answer my questions, so I got the number and called the Dietary needs chefs at Epcot.

Ugh. I hate it when you want an answer and have to wait. Much like me waiting for Debbi at Coral Reef.
I can't believe you can't have seafood. How sad.

Ok so I called last night and I just got an e-mail from Theresa, the dietary support at Epcot. I was thrilled to get the e-mail because it verified that I would be able to eat "some" bread product there.

Here is what the e-mail said:

"Thank you for your call. I have sent a couple of attachments that should help you with your planning. Please speak to a chef upon arrival to a table service restaurant or a manager at a quick service restaurant. They will be happy to help you.

If you want to bring some items with you like snacks or something that does not need heating, just let the Security Person doing the bag checks know you have dietary needs and they have no problem with you bringing in items. State Law prohibits us from heating or using foods brought in by our guests, so our chefs will not be able to heat anything that is not prepared by us.

I have attached the another bread product we have on hand. Please fill out the attached dietary needs form and return. Once you return the form, I will inform the chefs. Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-DINE. "

The attachments are awesome, I feel better knowing that there is rice bread and options for me, and I am filling out a form that they will attach the info to the reservation and they will send a chef to the table to give me info about the food.

I never have piece of mind when I go out to eat. Especially when, like Mother's day, I was not aware of what was in the food at the buffet. Now, I feel like I can eat safely and every cent we paid for the trip is worth it. I seriously started tearing up at my desk just now. I am on :cloud9: .

:cloud9: I am so happy for you! I can't imagine having to worry about that so I understand what a relief it is to you not to have worry. :thumbsup2

Thanks... :goodvibes

I just e-mailed DBF and he agreed that the "dream vacation" to Disney will be a lot better now that we won't have to run around to find something for me. I can feel "normal", I haven't felt that way in five years.

I :worship: the Disney dietary peoples!

I am going to Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest 2009!!!!

DBF is still unsure about him going, but I will be there....

I am not sure where I am staying yet, because funds will be limited, but this is a can't be missed event for me. YAY!!

This event is full of win :thumbsup2

I really can't wait to hang out with all my DIS friends!

Par-tay time!!! WOO HOO!!!!!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

You know, I haven't even mentioned Lapu Lapu Fest 2009 to DH yet? It's been a rough weekend...hopefully it'll get better.:thumbsup2

That is awesome about the dining. I know I've read dining reports before where the people could only it gluten-free products, and the chefs were very, very accomodating. I think Disney is really one of the leaders in the vacation industry for appropriately handling dietary/food concerns.
