Pumpkins, and candy, and Mickey, oh my! (TR complete!)

That is a crack up about the horse's Halloween tail!! :rotfl:

I agree with Cristabel, I love how your twins match too! It's way too cute!

Great pictures, Beth! :thumbsup2

I love how your twins are absolutely matching on everything!

Cute pictures!

Thanks! They don't always. But when we go shopping, they just seem to like and want, the same thing. So that's fine with me. I'm sure that will end before too long. LOL

Wasn't that funny! I tell ya, Disney is all about the details. Down to decorating the horse's behind!!! LOL

They decorate the horse tails for Christmas too. They braid in red and green ribbons and put a piece of holly on as well. Love those details.
How do you like Queenie's singing? DH can't stand it. When she's out, he drags me through NOS like the place is on fire.

He ordered the same dinner you had the last time we ate there. He said it was very good.

Love all the pics. You have an adorable family.

hee hee Halloween themed horse tail.. that is cute.
I loved the haunted mansion so much with the Nightmare before Christmas theme..it is amazing how detailed they get with it!!

Do they?? How cute! I've never ridden it before so I never noticed. Now I'm always going to be checking the horse tail everytime I go to see what it's wearing now. LOL

I thought Queenie's singing was ok. I guess I was more focused on my food. :rotfl:

Thank you for the nice comment on my family. :goodvibes

I love HM too with the NBC theming. That and POTC are my favorites. :thumbsup2

Your kids are super pretty (and handsome!).

Love the horse's bum!

The Zero shaped whipped cream is a really cute detail :lovestruc

I've only been on the Storybook Canal boats at night. I really need to go during the day to see all of that stuff better. Looks very cute.

Was the chicken Ruben ordered at the French Market spicy at all?

Did you dress the twins alike when they were babies and toddlers? I wonder how old they'll be when they start wanting to wear different things.

I loved the horses butt!! Too funny!!
The food looked yummy!!!!

I love all your pictures! Your kids are so wonderful, all the kids I know would be grumpy sour pusses by the end of day 4 with their family. :rotfl:

I'm having total Disneyland withdrawals. My mom already warned me not to plan a trip to Disneyland this month for myself...I swear it's like she can read my mind sometimes.

Oh wait, I'm not supposed to be reading this anymore, am I? Move along nothing to see here! :rolleyes1 :tiptoe:

Definitely go on it during the day. It's so cute. Although I wouldn't go during a peak time, the line gets too long.

The chicken wasn't spicy. Well, we didn't think so anyway.

I used to always dress them alike when they were little. Here's one example:
twins1stbday.jpg

They looked much more like twins then. It was so fun to walk around the mall with one in each arm while they were newborns. I miss those days! I'd get soooo many looks from people. LOL

Now it's more like we go shopping, and I'll pick out a shirt and say, "This is cute" and they both want it! Rather then trying to decide who gets it, sometimes it's just easier to buy two. IF it's the same design or style but in different colors, I'll do that. They don't always dress the same for school. Maybe once a week.

Well, they had their moments, lol, but overall this trip went really smoothly. I was very happy about that.

I'm having withdrawals too!!! We are talking about trying to take 3 days the week before Christmas to go visit family in CA and since I'm the only one in the family renewing my AP (for the March Girls Only trip), I'm thinking of maybe, possibly trying to sneak off to DL for a few hours one day. Just to soak up the atmosphere and take some Christmas pics. :santa:

I don't know. It probably won't work out. Ruben's not even sure he can get the time off work, AND I can't forget forget our van seems to be working on a wing and a prayer lately. But it would be nice.

Love the horses hinebone too (that's what we call it my house). Disney always seems to do little things for the holidays that maybe not a lot of people see and I think that's great. I dress my son's (ages 9 and 7) the same at Christmas and Easter and my DH hates it but he stopped bothering me about it. I buy Disney shirts from disneystore.com every year since my oldest was born and now I get a dress for my DD. I would have loved to have twins just for that reason to dress the same. :rotfl:

Oh and this is OT but here's the kids at pumpkin picking with some fall colors in the background.

I cannot believe that the details even get down to the horses tails. That is sooo awesome.
Ready for more...........
And now I'm hungry too after the great food porn. What was Jack made out of on the cheesecake? Guess I'll have to have some popcorn whilst I wait popcorn::

Jack was some sort of ceramic thing. I'm not sure. He wasn't edible though.

I spent about a half an hour last night typing out a reply and when I went to post it, the stupid DIS was down and it was all lost!

Guess I'll have to redo it again sometime today.

We slept in a little this morning and had some small breakfast snacks before heading off to California Adventure. We got to the park around 9:30 and even though it didn't open until 10, the gates were open.
First on the agenda, were fast passes for Soarin Over California. Then, since nothing was really open yet, we snapped some pics of the kids in the Sunshine Plaza area.

Once the Backlot area opened, Ruben, Adam, Noelle, and Lindsey were off and running to ToT, while Hannah and I held back and took some pics with Wall-E.

DSCF5872.jpg

Scary, evil, bad, ToT!! :scared1:

DSCF5874.jpg

The line was short on ToT so Ruben and the kids were back before long so we all hopped on Monster's Inc. Finally that ride was open while we were there! For some reason it's closed a lot of the time.
Afterwards there were several characters hanging around the area so we took some time to get some more pictures.

Big Bad Wolf.

We saw this guy and none of us could remember his name so I asked the CM who was near him who he was. She said he's from Pocahontas, which I already knew, but I wanted his name. Then she leaned in towards me and whispered that she didn't know and asked me not to "out her". :lmao:
He sure is ugly though!

DSCF5881.jpg

The Queen. Off with their heads!
DSCF5883.jpg

Wall-E again.
DSCF5884.jpg

Awwww, it's Pluto!
DSCF5886.jpg

We started to make our way towards Bug's Land taking a few pics along the way.

Candy Corn Acres. That's for you Wendylady! lol
DSCF5888.jpg

I love the theming around the Grizzly Rapids ride.
DSCF5889.jpg

I took the twins into Bug's Land while Ruben and the older two went to get FPs for Screamin and to ride Maliboomer.

The twins had so much fun riding all the rides, and I let them play in the water since it was pretty warm that day.

DSCF5890.jpg

We stayed in Bug's Land for awhile then took off to meet up with Ruben and the kids again. We stopped to buy some grapes and some pineapple spears along the way.
Actually we were all getting pretty hungry at this point, so of course I had to go to my favorite place to eat in DCA. Pacific Wharf Cafe! Mmmmm.

Ruben wanted Mexican so he went to Cocina Cucamonga for a chicken burrito:
DSCF5892.jpg

I got my usual Broccoli and Cheese soup in a bread bowl:
DSCF5895.jpg

We never go to DCA without getting a sourdough Mickey. But since it was Halloween time, we had to get a sourdough jack-o-lantern. So cute and so good!
DSCF5898.jpg

My kids are very picky and they didn't want either place for lunch, so they ended up eating the snacks I had: Uncrustables, chips, applesauce, grapes, pineapple, and cookies. Before heading out for more rides, we posed for some pics in the giant catch of fish.

DSCF5906.jpg

After lunch, Adam and Noelle used their FPs for Screamin. Maybe not the best choice to ride right after eating, but they did fine. lol I took the twins on the carousel while we waited for them.

DSCF5907.jpg

As we were walking past Toy Story Mania, the kids all wanted to go on it but the line was sooooo long. Then I remembered the single rider line so we all hopped in that. Adam and Noelle went first so they could wait for the twins at the end of the ride. Then Hannah went, followed by Lindsey, myself and Ruben.
Hannah got to sit next to one of those VIP tour guides, and Lindsey was next to a little girl. I on the other hand, was next to some scary looking biker dude. LOL He was nice enough, but I was scared to move the whole time.
It all worked out nicely though, and we were able to ride with very little wait.

From there we continued making our way around the park. Ruben and the kids wanted to do Maliboomer again since there was almost no line. The twins and I headed straight for the drink cart near the entrance to the Orange Stinger and I was finally able to get my fix! :yay:

A Tinkerbell Twist.
DSCF5914.jpg

Ahhh, so refreshing! LOL
DSCF5915.jpg

The kids went on Orange Stinger a few times, played in the boat area, and then we headed to Soarin to use our FPs from earlier. Soarin was great as always. We sat next to a group who'd never ridden before and they "oooohed" and "aaaaahed" the whole time. It was so fun to watch them.
Then Looking at our watches we saw it was a little after 3, and time to leave. Why so early?
Because we were going to the Trick or Treat party that night and I wanted to let the kids rest before we needed to get ready. It was our first time at the party and I couldn't wait!!

Candy Corn Acres, for me!? You shouldn't have! :rotfl:

Another great start to your day with your great family. If I had known you'd be having so much fun, I would have made my way into your fun sooner. :rotfl2:

I love how the CM didn't know Ratcliffs name, heck, I can't believe I remembered his name!

The picture in the fish net are cute! I'm surprised to see you in so many photos, I thought you didn't like the camera. Anyway, I'm glad you got over the camera shyness for this trip...I guess with March coming up you kinda had to. :goodvibes

I'm betting we crossed paths at some point, we were probably both at the Tinkerbell Twist stand and weren't even aware of the others presence.

:rotfl2: You might have been in line ahead of me! LOL

I hate having my pic taken. I really do. Ask anyone who knows me. But before this trip, at some point it dawned on me that I have almost no pictures of myself and the kids. Not even when they were babies. We'd pose them, and I'd jump out of the pic! :sad2:

It just hit me that if something happened to me, they'd have very little to remember me by. Kind of a sobering thought.
So I told myself from now on, even if my picture makes me cringe, it makes my kids happy and I need to suck it up (or in, as the case may be) and just get in there with them and pose. After all, the kids don't care how I look, they just want a picture of and with their mom. Having said that, I still deleted a lot of pictures. LOL Gotta love digital cameras. :rotfl2:

Beware on the March trip!! Those ladies like to snap pictures left and right, and no one tells you!! So you end up with all these totally bizarre looking pictures with eyes closed, things hanging out of mouths, or in the middle of talking. :rotfl: Wait till you see some of the ones from the mini meet. :lmao:
