I thought I read sometime ago on here that people were getting pumpkin fudge at Halloween time and maybe other pumpkin flavored treats as well???

We are going in Oct and I'd love to try the pumpkin fudge. Where do I get that and are there in fact other fall only treats I should try?

Thanks!

The Main Street Bakery has all the yummy pumpkin treats. I can't wait to try some new ones myself.

omg yes...im drooling just thinking about it....besides the fudge where you can get that at any place they have candy...off hand would be candy palace and pooh's corner in DL and Greetings in DCA...

the other favorite of mine is the carrot cake muffin...the punch a whole in the top of it and pipe it FULL of cream cheese frosting ...heaven seriously...can find that at the blue ribbon bakery and bakers field bakery...

they also sell a pumpkin latte and its not good blech...I could only manage a couple of sips and I had to dump it:crazy2:...

There were some special cookies and pastries. The Blue Ribbon Bakery was where we got pumpkin muffins last year, and they had a very detailed Mick-o-lantern stuck in the tops, which almost seemed like a sculpture, it was so hard. But it was actually edible. I tried to preserve it and not eat it but then the ear broke off! It seems like in the e-mail I got from Disney the other day, on their cute Halloween page, they listed some new treats they did not have last year. There is something called a 'hot mug' which will be sold at Blue Ribbon. I don't know what a hot mug is but it is a collectible of some kind so I am sure I will want it!

cool ...i cant wait to see that...you know they have other stuff every year but those 3 things are the only thing that stick out in my mind because I always get the fudge and muffin and I will never get the coffee again :rotfl:

I am not a real big pumpkin fan anyway unless it is a really YUMMY pumpkin pie (not all pumpkin pies are so great), but I wanted to try the muffin because I wanted the Mick-o-lantern! I think I was eyeing that latte and just decided, "Nah!" It didn't sound that appealing. So I will take your word for it and not get the pumpkin latte. Now, when Christmas rolls around and they trot out the peppermint lattes and mochas, that is an entirely different story altogether! Those are yummy!

Pumpkin Lattes are an acquired taste. I particularly like them, but not all places make them equal. You have to get the right blend of the pumpkin spice syrup and a vanilla powder or "white chocolate syrup" to get them just right. (Our local coffee house makes a mean one if you get the right barrista.)

Hey Sherry - which email list is the one you got that notice from? I thought I was on all of them, but now - not so sure.

pumpkin fudge and the carrot cake muffin sounds heavenly...that is going on my to do list.

i wasn't able to find any pumpkin fudge last year (early oct) when do they usually come out?

Hi, Nancy! The email I got was just the Disneyland News from Disney Destinations. I am sure you are on that. Although, they are sneaky, those Disney folks - soemtimes it seems like they send out certain e-mails to some people (like with the PIN# offer) and not to other people on the mailing list. And in this email I got, there are certain promo hotel rates listed and I don't know if those are available to anyone who goes on the DL site or what.

Anyway, here is the link to the cute Halloween page. You just click on the different pumpkins and stuff pops up (I hope the link works!):

What you said about the lattes is how I feel about the pies. Some places get just the right blend of pumpkin and spices and whipped cream and all that and the pie can be sublime (not in DL, but anywhere). And other Pumpkin pies taste like putty. I am all about peppermint mochas and lattes and most importantly, peppermint ICE CREAM, so I love the Christmas season!

a little OT, but since on the subject of Halloween

...when you see the cute mickey ceramic jack-o-lanterns for sale, if you don't grab them when you see them, they will be gone when you come back. and they will be on ebay for 3 times the price.

Do you mean the Halloween candle holders? They come in a pack of three - one black, one orange and one white? I grabbed those last year. Not taking any chances on missing them. I also grabbed the Vampire Mickey sculpture while I was there too, and the Halloween snowglobe with Mickey dressed as Captain Hook and Minnie as someone (can't recall!).

Dude, between the yumminess of the pumpkin treats and the adorable Halloween merch I am going to go crazy. This thread is getting me so excited!!

We looked for it last October, but never could find it! We asked and everything. My Mom was disappointed because she likes white fudge, and they didn't have that either.

you were smart not to get it:rotfl: now that I read it on the disneyland site I realized the "hot mug" is the plastic one they give out for hot chocolate and coffee and stuff...right now the regular one is the year of a million dreams mug and last halloween I got the "fall" one and Im sure that is what they are referring to...hopefully its a different picture than last year....

Okay, I got it. I think I saw some people wandering around with those last year during Halloweentime, but I didn't know it was called a "Hot Mug"!

I get excited just looking at the Halloween page on the site, when the giant Mickey Pumpkin comes up first, because it reminds me of walking onto Main Street and seeing it.

i caaaaaaaaaaaaaant wait for the 'fall' treats at DL!! im so excited to see what they have! and im dying for a pumpkin muffin!:woohoo:

All this talk makes me very sad I'm not going to be there this october. I will def. have to plan for maybe next oct??? Hopefully!

no, not the little votive size 3 pack, those didn't sell out as fast. i meant the bigger ones. about the size of a cantaloupe.

I do remember seeing that large Mickey votive holder in at least a couple of shops. It was on my 'maybe' list. However, we got there on the first official day of the Halloween decorations and festivities last year, so I assume that a lot of folks had not discovered the merchandise yet. Probably, as the season progressed, many of the cute things disappeared. I remember the Mickey ghost pin (like in the ticker in my signature here) was in hot demand, and there were only three left hanging in the Emporium display - again, on Day One! I grabbed one, another girl grabbed one and then I heard a lady saying she had to find the ghost pin so I pointed her in the direction of the last one and POOF! All gone in about three minutes! But I assumed those could be found elsewhere in the park, or even in the hotels' shops. I have found in the past that, during the course of a trip, if I get to one store and they are all sold out of something, I will walk into another store in another land and find 100 of the very item that was just sold out in the previous store! But I don't press my luck and take too many chances with that, because in the past, I have fallen victim to that mentality of "Oh, I don't need to get it right now...I will just get it when we come back in two days, or when we go into another shop later." And then, lo and behold, in two days the item is nowhere to be found, and Disneyland is not selling the same stuff the following year, of course, so it is lost forever!!! They are so clever at making some of their items limited edition, only out for one year/one season, that I know if I pass on buying something when I first see it, I will run the risk of not being able to get it at all later!
