Pulled out the FLAME THROWER this weekend!

Yup... you read right! I used a FLAME THROWER to kill weeds in my garden walkways this weekend! LOL!

Well... it does not exactly THROW the flame... but it is a propane weed killer that uses thermogenics (yes a FLAME!) to kill weeds. I have had this for almost 2 years now... and finally used it for the first time this weekend. I was kind of SCARED to use it... thought I might burn the place up ... or myself!

Seems to have worked. It takes a few days for the plants to finish dieing... so I will let you know after a day or so. I was really after killing my volunteer hollyhocks that take over my walkway each year. Dang things are impossible to pull and don't die easy.

Of course you would have had to wear protective clothing, right? Perhaps an attractive, but functional jumpsuit? Maybe with a very small pinstripe or floral print? Did I ever mention that I love shopping?

LOL Kim! I see another excuse for shopping came my way ... and I missed it!

Olena... you inspired me! This summer I can do two things at once... I can kill the weeds in the walkways... AND... if I carefully aim that flame at various ripe veggies in the garden... sautee a little SNACK while I am at it! LOL! Of course, having the entire tower of pole beans go up in flames would probably be a potential setback in the plan.

I checked this morning and it appears that the nasty little (largish really) hollyhock starts are DEAD in my garden path! Oh that it be true!
