How comfortable are they? Do you feel the bar underneath the mattress? Also are the bunk beds kid sized or can adult fit on the at least the bottom bunk. I am thinking about getting 2 cabins for our family trip next May. There will be 5 adults and 3 teens, nobody is small. I was thinking that the one cabin would be for my Dsis, Dbil, Dniece12 & Dnephew14. The other would be for me, 2 Dsis, & Dniece16. Everyone wants their own bed. Also are the accessible cabins located all over or closer to where the main activities like bus stops, restaurants, shopping areas are? I have never been to this resort before. I am also looking at CBR and the family suites at AOA but the suites are more expensive, and I'm afraid that CBR might be too cramped for 8 nights. We stayed there 8 or 9 years ago but the kids were much smaller then. Thank you for any advise.

My son who is 20 and 6’3 220lbs is the one who gets the pull out when we stay at a cabin and he says he doesn’t feel any bars and prefers it over the bottom bunk. The bottom bunk is okay in my book and I am 6’2”. Slept on it many times as I hate sleeping pinned up against the wall in the full size bed. My 10 year old usually winds up there by default as no one else wants to sleep there next to mom.

Not 100% on this but as I think about driving the cart around the resort the accessible cabins do seem to be near the front of the loops so that way they are closer to the bus stops but not situated any closer than other cabins to dining, shopping or activities

Im 6' and slept on the bottom bunk, i fit fine and it was of average comfort. Other members of my party complained about the couch, we spent 3 nights and they stated it was not comfortable. Very much enjoy the fort, so when we return plan is to invest in a cheap topper for the couch. If everyone wants there own bed you would definitely need 2 cabins.

I slept on the sofa on two separate trips. It was the best sofa bed I've slept on (which is only a handful of occasions). The foam they used in the cabins is pretty thick and I didn't feel the support bars. What I did notice is the gap between the top of the bed and the back of the sofa. I had to shove extra pillows in that gap to make it work for me.

I must have got a bad sofa, because the one I slept on for our December trip was AWFUL! I ended up sleeping sideways on the mattress. I could have moved to the bedroom, but my 21 year old and her friend were in there and I wanted a quiet spot more. When we stayed at All Star Movies suites a few years ago, the pull out there was great, so I don't think I am super picky.

I think with sofa beds it makes a huge difference where the bars are compared to where your body rests, and different resorts can have different brands/models. If I am on one where a bar hits right at my hip line, I will be uncomfortable as a side sleeper. But if the bar is a few inches up or down, the difference is major. A back sleeper will need the bars in different places than a side or stomach sleeper. As a side sleeper, I have never had much luck with sofa beds, but my mom, who was shorter and primarily a back sleeper, had better luck.

Although I prefer the daytime layout without the old Murphy bed, I preferred the Murphy for sleeping comfort.
