Pug owners

We have a 10 week old pug and I was wondering how old he would need to be for his first bath. Also when can I trim his claws? We got our Boston Terrier at 12 weeks so it wasn't an issue, but I worry about doing anything since he's so young. Thanks for your help.

Oh I don't know but PICTURES!!! PLEASE we love pugs in our house. We ended up with a Frenchie (*that looks a lot like your terrier except she's squattier)
because we were told she would be easier with our lab than a pug. And the pug breeder didn't want to sell to lab owners because he had a bad experience with a lab Now we love our Frenchie and she's hilarious- but we do love to see pugs too!

We have two little boy pug puppies, Butch and Sundance, and we bathed them within a couple of days after we brought them home (they were 8 and 11 weeks old at the time). I haven't attempted nails yet - I'm a little nervous about that!! Everybody did just fine with the baths.

Good luck with them. Ours are very sweet, but when they fight, it sounds like a couple of velociraptors going at it!!

Po, after the panda in Kung Fu Panda. We tried every Disney name we could think of, but nothing fit him.

OMG!!!!!!! Your new puglet is beautiful!!!! Congrats!

I have always washed my pugs after getting them. Just make sure that your house is warm enough. They can get cold this time of year when wet. My pugs hate the blow dryer and try to 'bite the air' coming out.

As far as nails -ours were always horrible with them. We used to take them to the vet. Now we have a mobile groomer come to do nail trimmings.
The vet told me they can turn blue and stop breathing if they freak out too much. They seem to do much better now with this groomer.

I'm concidering that 'Peticure' thing I saw on TV.

Thanks everyone. I am thinking I will let the Vet be the bad guy with his paws. It's just easier than running the risk of hurting him.
