I don't mind them. Yeah, they're not my choice for design but I don't think they're truly ugly.
At Christmas I cover my pop-up Puff's tissues with special "kleenex covers" my Mom stitched with plastic canvas.![]()
I used to care about box designs, but then I made myself one of those Rubik's cube holders like they have on Big Bang Theory. Problem solved.
I want one! How did you make this if you don't mind?
Basically using the instructions found here: http://blog.kanojo.de/2011/01/05/geek-ish-tissueboxes/
DH did all the woodworking parts since that's his hobby. I did the artsy parts with the colored papers. It came out good, but I think if I ever did another one, I might not use the papers but I might paint it instead.
You can also find plenty of instructions online to make them out of yarn and plastic mesh, but I just didn't care for those.

I'm in the "I don't care what the boxes look like" group.
We can easily go through a box of tissue every 2 days for our family of 3 when allergy season & sinus season hits. Which is soon.
I grab the boxes and we go from there.
I would soooo use Cornflake's tissue cover!!

Since I generally can't find the box of tissues when I need it, I usually end up usin the toilet paper to blow my nose.
Problem solved!
Heh, they're widely available. The first time I saw it I had to have one. They're not really expensive either (like $20 ish).
The standing one is a Maori head (holds a standard rectangular box), the flat is an Easter Island head. Search either of those with tissue and you'll find them.![]()
