Publix stop between MCO and WDW?

Hi- I’m sorry if this has been asked before (I couldn’t find it). We plan to take an Uber from the Orlando airport (MCO) to Wilderness Lodge and I’d like to put in a stop at Publix so we can grab some things for the room. We’re only here one night so delivery doesn’t work as well for us today. Is there a good location you would recommend that doesn’t add on much extra time? Thanks in advance!

Just so you know, an Uber will not wait for you while you shop. You’ll need to remove your bags, end then ride, then get another Uber from the store to your hotel.

Pre-COVID, I used Tiffany Towncar to get from MCO to Wilderness Lodge. I requested a grocery stop when I booked it. The driver stopped at:
Publix
Lake Cay Commons
9930 Universal Blvd
Orlando 32819

But as PP said, the Uber driver will leave when you get out at Publix. You will have to take your luggage with you while you shop. When you are done shopping, you will have to request an Uber to take you from Publix to the hotel.

2. Tap on the bar at the bottom and swipe it to the top of your screen.
3. Next to your destination, tap on the “Add or Change” option.
4. Next to the “Add” field, enter your additional stop.
5. Select “Done.”
6. Confirm that you want to add a new stop.

Thanks everyone. We actually booked an Uber Black which includes a 10 min courtesy wait per stop, so the driver was able to wait while I ran in an quickly grabbed a few things (I added the Publix as an extra stop). I also tipped the driver in advance in cash which helps (and DH waited in the car so he couldn't just leave with our stuff). We went to that Publix at 9930 Universal Blvd, which is a great location on the way to WDW!
