How do the online prices for Publix compare to the prices in store? We're going to be making a grocery stop with the towncar service and I've been reading that this is the store that Yourride usually stops at. Is there a better grocery store that's on the way to Disney from the airport that I should ask to stop at? TIA :p

DH works for Publix, even so, there is no better grocery store to stop and shop at. You can always find a good deal there (lots of buy one, get one free's all the time). But most of all Publix stores are clean and well stocked. I would recommed Publix to anyone.
Hope this helps. :)

I agree with Ohanamom--Publix is probably the best grocery chain in FL......Clean, well stocked, good prices......

Also, the stores in the WDW area seem to have a good supply of Disney souvenirs, beach/pool stuff, at prices a lot less than inside the resort.......Of course, with the 1/2 hour that you're allotted, it'll take planning ........maybe give the DH & kids a DETAILED list of the groceries, while you look for some "extra surprises" for the family......??

IMHO, I think Publix is a tad bit pricey on some things, but like the other posters said, you will not find a cleaner or better stocked store. Also, the quality of the merchandise is higher than the other stores. You can buy Publix brand anything, and not have to worry about the quality, because it will be just as good (if not better!) than the name brand items. When they have a sale, it's usually a great sale. Often times they have Buy One, Get One.

I shop at Publix every week!:D

Thanks for the help everyone! I was a little concerned because I had read some posts about the prices at Publix but now that I think about it, we're just going in for some bottled water (Dasani hopefully), fruit, cereal and snacks... Nothing big, we probably won't spend more than $40. So I think we'll stop there :p

We shopped at Publix over the Easter Holiday, I'm not certain if I'm listing everything we bought, but to give you an idea these groceries came to about $50.00:
2- 24 packs of water (Naya I think)
2- 12 packs of coca-cola products
2 loaves of bread
1 dozen eggs
bottle of vinegar (to color eggs)
1 pound of butter
2 bags of bagels
3 pounds of apples
2 pounds of grapes
8 oranges
6 Bananas
1 64 oz. bottle of Cranberry juice
1 gallon of milk
1/2 gallon of Orange juice
8 oz. container of coffee creamer (vanilla)

I usually bring any boxed food we will be using because I stockup at home withthe BOGO offers here and just bring them along. I don't want to spend any more time thatn I have to at the grocery store when on vacation!
