Hmmmm....very interesting...I'm one that reuses a water bottle very frequently because I fill it with water from home every morning. But I don't wash it out or even let it airdry between refills....I do try to pour the water into a glass instead of drinking out of it.....I knew it was time for me to get a new bottle....
It just makes me wonder if this "research" wasn't funded by some bottled water company. How are we to know how long the bottles have been sitting on the store shelves? I thoroughly rinse mine with hot water and allow to dry in the window sill until I refill it. I'm not worried about it.
Thanks for passing this bit of news on! I will be sure & toss my old bottles too. Gees, I can't even tell you how long I've used one of them over & over & over.......
I am far from being "Mrs. Clean" but I always wash out our water bottles. I often wonder about how well I get rid of the "crud" from the dishwater when I rinse them.
I do think that it is best to use these bottles on a limited basis.
