Pub Master Jay

It was funny that not only was my son and another young man in there almost from open to close, there were also a couple middle aged men in there most days too. The Wii competitions during the day were competitive at times. I don't know what kind of cruise my son would have had if Tim were not on that cruise. We were lucky to have known him years before when he was a counselor in the Stack for my son. So it was as if the counselor was advancing with him.

It's a shame that we get very attached to these amazing CM's who touch our life and make our cruises the experiences that makes us crave more. When you hear they are fired so quickly, I can understand because it's the Disney standards that keep us coming back, but we have lost some really priceless cast members for mistakes in judgement they have made. Hopefully, Jay will be given another chance but from past experiences it generally doesn't happen.

The pubmaster is the host of Diversions. They run games, manage the TV's and sports being shown, they run Wii tournaments, keep guest entertained, etc. They are in the pub from open to close, day in and day out. DCL generally picks someone with a great personality so they make Diversions a great place to be.

Pubmaster Tim was on the repo and he was amazing. He was such a great guy and I found we spent a great deal of time in there because of him. My DS18 spent almost all of his time in there and Tim was great company for him.

Something obviously happened on the ship that was not in compliance with DCL's policies. They do have high standards, which is part of what makes the experience so wonderful for the guests. CMs have a right to a level of privacy and do not need to have their indiscretions speculated about on a public board. Please let this topic rest so that the CM can keep some of his dignity.

I do understand the disappointment of finding out that a friend is now out of touch like this. We found out last cruise that one of our favorite CMs from our first cruise in 2003 was no longer on the ship. Because we had known him for so long and the kids asked another CM about him, we were told delicately that when the line is crossed there is no second chance. We were sorry to hear that this had happened but respect DCL for looking out for the best interests of their guests overall.
