pts for disney cruises

How do you use pts for cruises? How do you know how many pts it will take? I'm new at this, so any info is appreciated!

To use points for the cruise options, you just call MS. The CM will make the reservation for you.

Keep in mind that the points required to book cruises generally go up each year. It is not a wise economic choice to purchase DVC if you plan to use the points to cruise on a regular basis. You'd be better off economically, if you just paid cash to cruise.

One thing to keep in mind is the cancellation policy on using points. I have seen some many people who regreted using points because they had to cancel the reservation. By using cash you can get a better rate and have a better cancellation policy.
