PTR for the planning obsessed....Updated 11/5 We're home now.

Animal Kingdom has no snacks listed....very sad. Does anyone have any suggestions? I want the fried wonton dessert from the Yak & Yeti but I don't want to have to do TS for it.

The cookies in Camp Minnie Mickey always looked good to me. The pretzels from the carts are yummy. I don't know if you like tea, but I think there's a tea cart in Asia.

You are killing me talking about that million calorie goodness :rotfl:.

I have had a grey goose slushie and OMG it is divine. I will be getting another or 3 on the next trip :rolleyes1.

From the PassPorter :

Disney Animal Kingdom's Snack Shops & Carts:
* Chip 'n' Dale's Cookie Cabin (Camp Minnie Mickey) - hot dogs, chips (NO cookies!)
* Harambe Fruit Market (Africa) - Fresh fruit, juices, beverages
* Kusafari Coffee Shop & Bakery (Africa) - Pastries, cappuccino & espresso (the LegoMom will be visiting this little gem!)
* Tamu Tamu Refreshments (Africa) - Ice cream, sundaes, floats
* Anandapur Ice Cream (Asia) - Ice cream and floats
* Dino Bite Snacks (Dinoland U.S.A.) - Ice cream, sundaes, nachos
* Dino Diner (Dinoland U.S.A.) - Ice cream, drinks

While it lacks the specialty appeal of say the School Bread from Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe (which I will be eating at just because the name is SO fun to say!! :rotfl: ) at least it gives you an idea of what to find and where!

Your vacation is so super close! I love your lists but I am sure that is not shocking at all. ;)
.
Want to come write my packing lists for me? Everytime I try I feel like I am writing a list of the contents of my house!

Yummy. . .No idea about the snacks at AK--we're gonna get the Breaksticks from Pizzafari for lunch. :confused3 But your snacks look delicioso!
Those breadsticks are good....I was actaully pleasantly surprised by the pizza at Pizzafari.

We don't really drink tea but maybe a slushie kind of drink would be a good choice.

I thought there was no Calories in Disney? I could have sworn I read that in a guide book somewhere.

Oh...yummy Disney snacks....how I covet thee...:thumbsup2
Feel free to smuggle some home for me Miss Ileaveinlessthan2weeks!

Thanks for the list. I just wish that AK had a treat that they were known for. Maybe those Minute Maid frozen lemonades are it. I know I will be bring my plastic spoon/straw with me to AK so maybe a frozen lemonade it will be.

We have breakfast at the Tusker House at 8am. So we will probably be full into the afternoon. My lunch picks are either Restaurantours or the Yak & Yeti Local Cafes (cs). Then dinner will be at DtD at either one of the Wolfgang Puck Expresses. Then I'm thinking sundaes at Ghiaridelli's.....after writing at that I think maybe DH and I should share lunch!

Hi,

the calendar looks awesome....Mae was standing here when the pic was up, and asked "Who put stickers on the Mickey heads?" I think she thought it was our old countdown calendar, I said "no that's my friend Miss Heidi's calendar, cool huh?" she: :goodvibes and :thumbsup2 from the 5 yr old!

I wish I was in the list stage again for a trip :sad2: I am most curious about your "papers" for the park....I think my "day-bags" worked good, but wonder what ideas I could steal from you to make it better....:rolleyes1

Oh and please give us at least a sneek peek for the costumes....we be talking Halloween costumes here too...seems to early but you know the Halloween and Fall stuff is out already. I'm disappointed Aldine (9) doesn't want to wear her Belle costume from Disney up here for Halloween. Hope she changes her mind and realizes she is never to old or "cool" to be a PRINCESS!

Just love the snack list! YUMMY! I don't think I ate any of those except a Churro in Mexico. But we did have a very melty 1/2 frozen lemonade in AK (well it was 90+ in June) But we did bring home 1 extra MM rice krispie treat w/ chocolate covered ears....not to long ago it was discovered it wasn't in the fridge anymore....and yes all eyes went to me. I just couldn't help it, it looked so GOOD! (and it was) Ok I'm a bad mommy, no sharing;)

Hi! Just checking in!

Love your snack list - sounds yummy. We had the frozen lemonades at AK when I went with my mom in April. We did the dining plan and it was our dessert choice at our CS Flame Tree BBQ meal. They were yummy, but neither of us ate much of ours because it had started POURING and got really cool out. But I bet they would be delicious on a hot day!

And mousescrapper - I too have been busted more than once for stealing sweets out of the fridge or kitchen cabinet! I ordered Zachary's costume a couple days ago - he wants to be either a lizard or a frog and I found a cute frog costume for under $30. That's what he wanted to be last year, but I wanted him to be something "Disney" because of MNSSHP. He liked his Nemo costume, but it took some brainwashing. :rolleyes1

I'm always cool with the 4-6 year olds!!

This is the first trip that I'm doing full-on touring plans so a index card won't do it this time. I made a sample yesterday so when I get it all ready I'll post it.

I think I will share the costumes....I got a package yesterday from the UPS man with some supplies that I will need. I'm going to try to work on it this week.

I found out last trip that I don't like the rice krispis with the chocolate on them.....I picked it off....bad I know!

I've had the frozen Lemonades in the heat waiting for the parade...YUM-O!

I'm lucky, Liam's so young that he gets no choice in costumes!

I thought it was about time I posted some pictures of all the shopping I have been doing over the last few months. I'm trying to get my pre-trip shopping list completed very soon....I'm actually sick of shopping for this trip. But traveling with a young child seems to warrant some of it. I'll still need to order Liam some Croc-lings shoes and maybe some new sneakers. I can't find a cheap rain coat for him anywhere. The only ones I can find are lined...with fleece....yeah that's not gonna work in Florida. All I want is a cheap rain slicker...do any of you know if I could find that at Target in Orlando when we get there? I also need to pick up another DVD for Liam...we travel with the laptop so I plan for him to watch Playhouse Disney shows during the plane rides. I'm in need of small hair bands...old style....all I can find are the ones that look like they are for braces. Yuck. I want a tube of mini M&M's so I can make a press pennie container....my grocery store didn't have any....do they still sell them? And I need a couple of Yes & Know books.....I was reminded of them on swakes TR. And since I won't be able to read on the plane due to an active little one I thought I could do those if I got a minute here and there. Has anyone since them in the stores recently....I haven't, and don't even know what section of the store they would be in. :confused3

Here are some shots of all the little toys that I got for Liam to take with us. Most of it is from different dollar stores and the Disney Store (clearance stuff)

910002.jpg

Everything was super cheap so I don't care if it makes it home....one less thing to stress about.

Liam has just begun to "color". I use the tern loosely but it will buy us a few minutes of distraction at our TS meals.
910003.jpg

Those are the big non-roll crayons because I have no plans to crawl under tables at dinner. I picked up a travel soap dish (the lime colored thing) to keep them in so they don't break.....savvy huh?

Today we went to Kohl's because I was blessed with a 30% off coupon. I was able to pick up the last piece of luggage that I wanted. Regular price is $299....it was on sale and with the coupon I paid $95. Score! I also got another sheet for the kids Aerobed. I got a full twin set with the jersey material for $10. (one fitted sheet at Wal-mart was $4 but I wanted Liam to have some skin left so I ruled that one out). I was in need of a cheap watch because I hate asking DH for the time. I have a cute Tink watch that I picked up at the World of Disney in 2005 but after having Liam my shoe size and watch band size has gone up. UGH. So I can't wear it. I found this cute (and somewhat cheap) watch. Tink's wings are the "hands".

I'll take more pictures of my shopping as I start to sort, wash and pack.

I love the little whatnots you've been picking up for Liam! I recognize some of those things, too. Don't you love the Dollar Tree?

Anyway, glad things are progressing along for you. Also, I've had luck finding raincoats for DS on disneyshopping.com, but most likely you've already checked there. The only other piece of advice I could give on that front is to make sure you look at the main page, and in the outlet. Other than that, maybe Ebay?

You are a shopping maniac! I love the triangle crayons! What a great idea so you are not picking up crayons off the floor.

Funny thing is....I don't like Dollar Stores. But I did go to one in Canada and it was awesome.

I did check disneyshopping but most of their stuff is for 2T and larger. Liam is a peanut and is just getting into 18mo. size clothes now. I think I'll try there in Florida.

I think I stole that idea!

Heidi, I don't think that Liam will be the least bit bored while you are there! ;)
No, probably not. He love other children so he'd probably be entertained with just that.

Let's do a little chair dancin' for
45 Days!!!!

Will I ever get all my shopping done?
Will I change more plans and ADRs?
Will DH ever get excited for this vacation?

If your DH is anything like my DH, he won't get excited until you are actually there. Men..pfft! :rotfl2:

Since my DH gets motion sick the earliest I can hope for is lunch in Orlando....I'm thinking Earl of Sandwich to help things along!

I forgot about that. That can't make traveling fun. You said that you bought Liam his own seat on the plane, right?

Yes, so Liam will sit by the window, me in the middle and DH on the aisle. I'll have DH get the car seat strapped down and then it will be all me to keep DS entertained for 3+ hours. Good Times! (NOJ.J.)
