Bonnie, EVERY time we go back East, we HAVE to hit up Dunkin Donuts everyday! My hubby and I absolutely love their coffee! We're very jealous that we don't have any DD's near us :headache::sad2:

You might be able to buy their coffee online and brew it at home. Also, I hear they make K-cups now. :)

They sell DD coffee at our Ralph's Supermarket.

I have bought DD at Target, but it just doesn't taste the same :sad2: I do have a Keurig though, so maybe I should give the DD K-cups a shot!

Alison, that coffee inspired me so much the other day, that I actually saved some of my morning coffee yesterday, put it in the fridge, and for 'dessert' that night, I put chocolate syrup and cream and had myself a Fake, Low Quality, Godiva Iced Coffee :lmao::sad2:

That sounds delicious!!!

The other day, I was craving chocolate and had none in the house. :scared1: Then I realized that we still had some Godiva dark chocolate hot cocoa mix...I made some right away. Definitely satisfied the craving! :goodvibes

Hi Everyone! :wave2: I’m still working on the Expo TR, but since it’s exactly two months until I check into the BCV at WDW, I thought I would put in another installment on the PTR!

So where we left off is that we had the waffles and Iced Chocolate Godiva Coffee for breakfast as soon as Epcot opens.

We got into the Regional French Lunch which will be at noon on Friday. I was only able to find pictures online from one lunch last year. It looks definitely interesting while I might not be so interested in what they served at this particular lunch. I don’t really know what most of these things are, but it gives you an idea. It looks like they serve quite a bit of wine with the lunch!

I’ve been reading on the Food & Wine Sticky about people who went to the French Regional Lunch and the 3D Desserts later that night last year. Some of them said that they were so stuffed from the lunch that they were hardly able to enjoy the desserts. I never thought of that! I figured that five hours would be enough time to build up an appetite. We’ll probably just head back to the room after the lunch. Maybe this would be a nice time to hit Stormalong Bay and just ride around in one of those inner tubes.

I found these pictures online as well from a TR of someone who was at the 3D Desserts Discovery last year.

The room

I imagine that these are the “Sweet Seats”. Since this is a stroll and savor type of event, we paid extra for a dedicated seat.

Who knows what types of desserts they will feature this year. I can’t wait until the festival opens and people start posting pictures from the events and kiosks.

3D3.jpg

I’m guessing that the poster put all three desserts on one plate. :sad2: I won’t do that! I don’t like my food touching! :rotfl2:

From what I gathered, they had various other cookies and things in addition to the feature type desserts. No one has really talked about the spirits that they have, but I’ve heard that there was vodka, gin, whiskey and champagne plus others. I can’t imagine drinking gin with desserts. Whiskey might work if you’re eating bourbon bread pudding, or vanilla vodka is pretty tasty. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.

That regional French lunch sounds (and look) wonderful! And those desserts...oh my! Candy bar bread pudding?! :goodvibes Sounds like heaven on a plate!

By the way, I also don't like my food touching...well, certain foods anyway. I certainly wouldn't have those desserts touching on my plate! :lmao:

Oh my.....oh my....oh my! I'm trying to be good....there is no such thing as Candy Bar Bread Pudding.....there is no such thing as Candy Bar Bread Pudding!!! (It was bad enough with Chocolate Bread Pudding Souffle)

OK, I have a HUGE update, and I don't think any of you will understand the scope of this update, but you have to understand the dynamic of the relationship between Fran and I and how things happen around here.

When we came back from our May Trip to the World she couldn't find her AP, a mess of Disney Gift Cards and our TIW card. :headache: The only thing that really pissed me off was the TIW card because it has an expiration date and can't be replaced. The AP can be replaced and the gift cards have no expiration, but if we didn't find the TIW before the October trip we would have wasted $75 since we only got back about $25 bucks on our May trip, but October and next May we'll get a bunch!

So today we spent a buttload of time cleaning up for my parents, but tonight she wanted to clear off her desk to find her insulin testing kit (hasn't had it for like a year now) so I started to move stuff over to our newly dug out dining room table and I found the ziplock baggie with her AP, the TIW card the gift cards and a couple other things like pills and stuff! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

At least we can now have 20% off our TS meals this October! I had already wrote off the discount!

YAY for finding the TIW card.............

:scratchin.......

......but doesn't this mean that there is now a WHOLE bunch of stuff on that NEWLY dug out dining table?

....that you're going to HAFTA dig out again???? :faint:

:rotfl::rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Ha! You would think so, but I took the first bunch of stuff from her desk and then the baggie revlealed itself. However tomorrow she will make me cover the table with stuff. Now I want to go to bed. it is late and I am exhausted from cleaning out the other areas we did today for my parents. I have a feeling I will be moving stuff tomorrow..

I am so glad you found the TiW card..... That is awesome news... I know you had been worried about it since you guys got back from the trip....

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

HUGE YAY for finding it! :cool1:

I bet that's a total relief for you. I would have been going insane trying to look for it.

I know, even though it didn't make a difference booking for F&W, I've been stressing since the day after we got back and I asked, "Where is the TIW card?"

HUGE YAY for finding it! :cool1:

I bet that's a total relief for you. I would have been going insane trying to look for it.

I had literally given up on it. I decided that my blood pressure didn't need all that undue stress. That's kind of what I meant by "the dynamic between us". She is constantly misplacing things (and then buys another to replace it) and it drives me nuts. She sets things down and our house is such a mess (from her constantly buying too much) that the house eats it within moments of it leaving her hands! :rotfl2:

On an unrelated subject, but one of the reasons I love her. She says to me this morning, "How do you feel about going out to the park for lunch tomorrow?" Of course, you know what the motivation is? Halloween started yesterday and they are selling Jack Skellington black wreaths with crossed doggie bones on them. :rotfl2: So we'll be shopping and eating Monte Cristos. Maybe I can get a ride or two in on Star Tours. :scratchin

Have fun tomorrow checking out Halloween at DL! Nice find on the TIW card!

I can't wait for our trip to get here. We have a busy Oct so I'm sure the time will fly by, Harvest Festival & Keith Urban concert the first weekend, Disney on Ice towards the end of the month with all the kids, and Bill Cosby show right before our trip.

WHAT!?! You obviously know, i'm going to have to purchase this wreath for when I go in November right?!

Hopefully they'll still have LOTS of them when I go. I don't recall ever seeing these the past few years? Wait, do they only sell them during Halloween?

I'm not sure that they will have them in November. There are only 330. They're a limited edition thing. If you want, we could pick you one up when we are there this Friday for Dinner at Napa Rose. They are already on eBay (which is where Fran saw one and prompted her to go out and get one today). We'll be in Tulare Oct 15-16 and then again on probably the 19-20 so we could bring it to you. Let me know. I'll be posting pictures of it in a few.

So as I mentioned, Fran found this wreath on eBay Saturday night. It was for the Jack Skellington overlay on the Haunted Mansion. It was a limited edition thing and she didn't want to risk it selling out so we went today to ensure we got one.

I couldn't resist a picture of the entrance

Fran's motivation was shopping, mine was getting on rides. It was 1:00PM, Star Tours had a 25 minute wait and FPs were back at 4:00 or so, but this was the first time that I knew about her magic pass, and I figured out how to use and boom I had an instant FP! I got out of Star Tours and decided to go on Space Mountain, again return time 3:00ish wait time 30 minutes, so magic pass....Instant FP This is cool! If you want the details, PM me about her magic pass. I don't want to post it in public!

By this time she calls me and says that she's found the wreath and wants to buy it, but I have her "magic pass" that gets her a discount, so she needs me to come back and she can buy it. This is the wreath. It's pricey, but that's what you pay for limited edition Disney items.

The box was too big for us to carry around all day so we checked it at the newstand at the front of the park.

Then we headed over to our second favorite restaurant in Disneyland Cafe Orleans

DSCN2546.jpg

We actually switched it up and ordered a little differently than our normal.

We started with the Pomme Frites with a Cajun Remoulade

DSCN2547.jpg

Then we split a Monte Cristo

Here is the ooey gooey goodness that is Monte Cristo

We got a childs entree of Mac n Cheese

Afterwards I went on the Matterhorn and Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. I was getting tired and it was after 5PM so we started to head out on our way. We stopped by the Blue Ribbon Bakery on Main Street and picked up some goodies togo.

I tooked a few pics while she was purchasing the bakery items

She wanted to check the fine art place in DCA so we headed over there.
So here's what the entrance to DCA looks like right now.

No we didn't eat them all tonight! And they will probably last us through the week. We got home tonight about 9PM and I had this waiting in the fridge for us for dinner.

We had a late dinner, and now I'm ready for bed!
