PTR-Cheating on Mickey w/Harry!...OMG! Only a month to go!

So I might as well use this thread for my PTR for my Christmas trip because it is still up in the air. Fran is not doing as much better as I thought. While the wound is healing and it appears the infection is going down, she says that the pain is increasing. Tomorrow she is having a CT scan on her leg and the doctor also gave us a script for bloodwork as well. Hopefully it won't find anything, and she will just heal up and get better.

So we'll work with the premise that she will heal up and get better. It will take her a long time to heal up and get better so she will be fairly down for the count on this trip. I'm used to this, she has not been very mobile for most of our relationship, so we'll plan a pretty mellow trip. We can enjoy dining, shows, and she is happy to read a book while I go on the big coasters.

But I made our ADRs over the past two days and being this far out I don't think I did too bad!

Sunday morning we arrive and I think we're better off to try and grab breakfast at some QS. I vote for Wolfgang Puck Express, but Fran isn't thrilled about that place, so we'll see.

Since we have no idea when we'll get in the room, I'm going to plan on us having dinner in the room that night since we'll probably be homeless all day and exhausted. In fact Fran could be downright cranky and not at all pleasant. If she did feel OK we could travel to DTD and hit a QS place or one of the less popular restaurants.

So our dining out includes the following:

Mon 7:10PM Yachtsman
Tue 12:45PM Via Napoli
Wed 7:00PM Ohana
Thurs 7:20 Jiko
Fri 7:30PM Fulton's
Sat 7:30 Chef's de France
Sun 7:30 Raglan Road

I just hope that she recovers enough that we can take this trip!

well done on the ADRs. I think you've really managed to get decent places at decent times. :thumbsup2

Hope Fran gets better.

Gosh me too!

The only one that is iffy is the Ohana. A friend on the Jamborini thread worked it out that she canceled while I was online to snag it. The only way it would come up is if I made it for 6, so I did. I figure I'll call them in about 10 days and say that "the family who was staying offsite and dining with us that night had to cancel their trip and we need to smaller the reservation to a party of two". Sneaky, but this place is really good and really popular.

Raglan Road and Via Napoli are new for us, but the others are tried and true favorites. Going to bed now!

DIS away and look at it as a mental health break, we all need one once in a while.:flower3:

I think I do that far too much for a healthy life! :rotfl2: Some might say that I am obsessed and live my life through the DIS right now!

So I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and canceled the special F&W events, AND they're sending us a Disney gift card for the cost of the events. That's almost $500 so I REALLY glad we're getting that back! :cool1:

Hey you snagged some awesome ADR's! :thumbsup2 Especially since this trip is only one month and a week away!

I'm SO happy that you got your money back from the F&W events. That's quite a bit of money.

I hope Fran gets better pronto. :flower3:

Awesome news!

Just got home from taking DGS, DDIL, sister, niece and nephew to Disney on Ice. I bought the tickets so long ago I almost forgot about them.

Thanks everyone! I'm so glad we got this back we can use it on our Dec trip!

I hope she gets better soon, as I'm sitting here with her passed out on a morphine coma, her leg and foot are looking better, but we have CT scan tomorrow that will hopefully tell.

So I thought I'd give an update on the newest family member.

It started out rocky

Awww....Alison. Mac and his sister look so cute together. Glad that its working out for them and you.

Keep us updated on how Fran's CT goes tomorrow. I'm hoping you get the all clear!

Your kitties are adorable.

I'm hoping Fran gets the all clear after the CT scan. Infections are scary.

Our dates are Nov. 12 and 13. Any chance you have a band concert at DLR that weekend? We would love to hear you play!!

I'm so glad you were able to get such great ADRs for your trip! :thumbsup2

I hope Fran is feeling better. I know how comatose those pain meds can make you feel...I remember being on Vicodin before I had the surgery for the herniated disc, and I hated the way it made me feel...but it did force me to get some rest.

The kitties are SOOOOOO adorable! :lovestruc I still wish I could hold and hug cats and not have an allergic reaction. They look so cute and cuddly! :goodvibes

Well she has severe cellulitis. But there is no bone infection. Today she had IV antibiotics delivered along with an IV holder and Sodium someting packs. Back when Fran's mom was hospitalized repeatedly she was afraid of these IV holders, so Fran named them "George", so we had a "George" delivered tonight. She will be IV fluids twice a day a nurse will come for the first one and I will have to hook up the second one. The nurses will come daily to clean the wound and check her, Sunday blood work, and clean the wounds and stuff.

Hey you'll be there the weekend we are! We're staying the night of the 12th (as long as Fran gets better) and playing on the 13th. We'll be at CA Adventure, but don't know the time yet. It's only a 20 minute set, but we'll be playing La Cage aux Folles, some John Williams hits, Under the Sea, a Sousa March, I can't remember the other....

Wanna come to dinner Saturday night at 8:45 like we talked about last year?

Your kitties look so alike! :cutie:

Hope all goes well today!

I didn't pick them based on their alikeness! But aren't they cute? Sunny has been my sweetie since 2005 and when I saw Mac all mellow and cute I couldn't resist him.

Vicodin is 1 or 2 steps below what she takes for normal pain management hence the morphine currently.

As I mentioned before she's got the cellulitis, at 9:30 the home health nurse finally called and he'll be here at 8:30AM tomorrow. I just put her to bed at 10:15, I still have to feed the kids and all I've eaten today is a slice of lemon loaf from Starbucks, a cup of coffee, a strawberry jello and a volcano roll from the grocery store (plus a few glasses of wine)

Do I just go pass out or make another one of those bacon cheese things I posted on the scrollie thread. Oh yeah. :headache: I don't have any more english muffins.
