Hey shumi, the cough still hangs on but then again, so does our sub-zero weather. I am guessing I might not be fully on the mend until we get some warmth and fresh air.....or at least air that doesn't freeze your throat when you take a breath. It was -30 yesterday, on our Family Day holiday. Other than a quick trip to the Y for a swim, we didn't even bother braving the outdoors. Despite the glorious sunshine, it was just to freakishly cold. The weatherman predicts at least another 2 weeks of unseasonable cold. Fingers crossed its just cold and no more snow. We have run out of places to pile it up.
I enjoyed Prisoner of Azkhaban quite alot, actually. Surprises even me.....this Harry Potter stuff is growing on me. And its so nice to know the significance, now, of things like the Knight Bus. I have a feeling that our visit is going to be so much more.....enriched?....by the fact that I have started to actually learn the Harry Potter storylines. Steve gets really into it (much more than I do), and he's been known to (ahem!) go around the house speaking in a very bad British accent in the hours following our movie dates
. Methinks we'll have to have a little chat about that before we watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

...sorry i'm late to chime in on this....
It's too late, I'm sure to start now to finish before your May trip; but if you like the movies, I HIGHLY recommend reading the books. They are just a million times better. I've never been a big reader ; but i LOVE those books. I enjoy the movies, but they just don't do the books justice (lets be honest, do the movies ever do the book justice?). Book 3 is my FAVORITE book in the series and I was so let down by the movie. The movie completely assumes that everyone watching has read the book. They leave out that Harry's father and friends (James, Sirius, Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew) were the makes of the Map; and that their nicknames were "Padfoot (Sirius), Mooney (Lupin), Wormtail (Peter), and Prongs (James) based on the animals they became every month when Lupin turns into a werewolf so they could still be with him. They just left all of that out! But I had to chime in on that; because there's just so much more in each book; and they're really easy reads since they are technically children's books. ....haha, as a side note, when the last book came out, I worked that day, and went home to read some and had plans to attend a party. I sat down to read "just a little" and the next time I looked up at the clock it was past midnight and thought "Hmm, guess I'm not going to the party". They just suck you right in.......or they did me, anyway!

. They had $8 tickets for certain dates in February and March to celebrate their 8th anniversary. Can you imagine??? $8??
one guy was so alarming I backed away from him......don`t know why he was shouting....lol......all good fun though.....I do a mean New York accent according to my cousins who live there........maybe they were being nice though

. I'm sure it's simple but I just can't figure it out.
I hope you don't have to travel too far over the course of the weekend, and can stay inside and warm too!

but its worth keeping an eye on them as we get closer. $170 Canadian would be tough to pass up.....the exchange rate is making a HUGE difference in overall cost. And at this stage, much as we prefer Alamo to all others, I won't even be picky on the agency as long as its a major name and located within the airport. With three trips this year, I can't afford to be fussy!!
That's what brought us to Universal. The books are really great, we've read them several time each (except dh, who still hasn't read the last one--but he never reads fiction, so it's a major deal that dd talked him into trying them). We have been listening lately, got the audiobooks from the public library, and I think I like listening even better than reading, because you get all the great detail and sub plots of the books, but we listen together, so can "share" the way we do with a movie. We plan to listen on the long drive to NH to get our flights. Jim Dale does the reading, and he's super--has a voice for every character. Anyway, might be fun to have in the car or for Saturday morning puttering around the house or whatever.
