Any tips for getting a view of the 5:45 parade this week without camping out for two hours? We don't mind standing, and my kids are 9 and 12, so they are not tiny. What's our best bet for location? (I would probably try to find a spot around 5 p.m.)

Thanks!

Our favorite spot is near the Small World plaza area. They allow you to sit on the steps, so you don't have to be standing the whole time. God-send when you've been walking all day long ;)

Hang out just south of the hub. They do not rope off the parade route across the roadway south of the Partner Statue till just before it begins. Just watch for when they do and step right up to the ropes.

I was booking it trying to get down main street to Adventure Land and we had the parade barreling down on us in the opposite direction coming from Small World and was amazed how log they waited to close off that portion.

Small World on one of the upper levels is also a great spot. I have seen it several times from several vantage points and up close is not necessarily better. When you are a bit back from the route some of the visual effect read better than right next to the floats.

I don't know if you are interested in seeing the fireworks or not, but if you aren't, another really good spot to be is right across the way from the Matterhorn by the Alice and Wonderland teacup/bathroom area. You can either sit on the ground or sit against the fence thing. You won't be able to see the fireworks there, but it's still a good place to sit imo. I got a great view!

I too recommend finding a place near the Small World Mall and/or just past the matterhorn. It's also an easy trip up to Small World for a very nice view of the fireworks right after.

This is my favorite spot as well-very open lines of sight both ways.
