Psycho Weathermen?

So its that time of year here in the Midwest..storms storms and more sotrms! This is the 5 day in a row now we have had severe thunderstoms now....

Soooo...that brings me to my question...how many of you DISer's have a local weatherman that seems to go nuts on the air when it storms?

We have this guy on our ABC affiliate that just goes CRAZY everytime it storms...the station always cuts away from programming and this guy sits and talks and talks and talks about how horrible the storms are and gives minute by minute updates of which city i our area is now "UNDER THE GUN!"

I swear, I always think this guy is going to keel over from a heart attack!

Personally, I'm sick of him and these stupid storms...looks like this one is getting really bad now....i should probably shut down..but that means leaving the DIS for a while

Well, just something to discuss...any psycho weathermen out there?

Mark Mathis of Fox Charlotte News. This man is insane! Last night he announced the image consultant was their to critique him or something and he goes on to make fun of him. He's insane. Makes fun of this suburb Gastonia and all the people. Just wild, barely even talks about weather and stands in front of the maps while doing it. I should send a tape, it's sooo funny.

Hey--those storms just passed through here and some of them did get rather nasty, with a few tornados touching down,

luvdisney81, we watch Mark Mathis all the time!! I watch Fox News Edge just to see what he'll do next. He is a nut. I crack up the whole time I watch the show. And Gastonia deserves to get made fun of.

Kimmykins where are you located? I'm in Rock Hill and still pretty new to the area. I haven't been to Gastonia but one of my bosses lives there. I came across Mark Mathis one night and thought it must be the most unprofessional newscast ever. Told some people at work and they laughed so hard. Didn't realize he was such a celebrity. Now I love watching him. Last night was sooo funny, mocking the image coach as a drunk.

Yes the weatherman gods were just waiting for me to make this thread before laughing down upon me and making me look stupid (wouldnt be the first time ).

Some wicked bad storms ripped through with raging straight line winds..thought there might be some spinning...my cousin swears he saw a funnel cloud not to far from here, and he knows his weather, so i believe him.

So yeah...I still think our weather guy must have the worlds highest blood pressure..seems like every little gust of wind just MIGHT (and I repeat might) turn tornadic (even if the national weather service hasnt issued any warnings ) I think its funny.

Not so much in the Boston area. We do have one woman who drives me crazy. She's just so darn perky. If a Cat 5 hurricane was getting ready to level the entire South Shore she'd be smiling and laughing about it.

Up in New Hampshire there's a crazy guy though. He's really strange.

luvdisney81, DF and I live in Lincolnton, NC. It's about a 45 minute drive from Charlotte. I am pretty new here too. We moved last August so DF could get a better job. I thought Mark Mathis was just a big goofball, too. He actually played a role in a movie, Where the Heart Is. I don't know if you have ever seen it or not, I just watched it the other night. But I love him now! And Gastonia is such a weird place. I should know, I work there.

I know where Lincolnton is, I went there one day, charming town. I have seen the movie but not since I watched Mark Mathis. I should watch it again. I too moved up here in August, big adjustment. Ever get bored let me know. Their are quite a few people in the area on here. We should meet. OOOhhh Carolina Place mall...the disney store is having a HUGE sale. 25% - 75% off everything!
