PS's during MVMCP

I thought that I had read somewhere that if you are planning on making ps's for dinner during MVMCP that you could make them sooner than the usual 90 days out. Has anyone been able to do this? I don't want to wait until the 90 day mark and not be able to get ps's when I could have booked farther out.

Last year you could make PS right after you purchased your MVMCP tickets, but ONLY at LTT. Any other places at MK or resorts you had to wait until 90 days out. And you did have to have your tickets already because they ask for your confirmation number to confirm.

It's too early to tell if that is what they will do this year as tickets aren't even on sale yet.

Thanks for the info. I do want to make ps's at LTT. I will call right away when I call for tickets to MVMCP.

What is a good time to make Ps for the LTT if you are attending MVMCP? I don't want to burn a day of my hopper pass this day, so will I be able to go in earlier than the start of MVMCP to eat with only my hard ticket for MVMCP? Thanks for any of the suggestions!!

PS at LTT start at 5pm and no earlier than that.

The party starts at 7pm. I'd say a good time is at 6pm because you would be eating while they are clearing the park before the party starts.

Thanks for the info. Can you get in around 5:30 with just your MVMCP ticket?

Most likely you can get in at 5:30, especially if you have a PS.

We got in last year with a PS but was never asked if we had one at 4 PM.

We did this last year and it worked wonderfuly. We had a 5:45 Ps time and it was perfect. We got in the park about 4:30, just with our MVMCP ticket and did a couple rides and got to the resturant about 5:30. Out wait was just a couple minutes and then it got better yet. The food was so yummy. Our waitress was so so but that did not bother us. She got what we needed and that was fine. Characters were great and visited several times in the hour or so we were there. WE finished up about 6:45 and were not made to go to the adventure land where everyone waited for the party to start. A few mintues before 7:00 we lined up at the hall of presidents for pictures. We were out by 7:05 and ready to start the fun. Photo lines were quite long later in the PM. It was such a magical night. PS"s came open a few weeks after the MVMCP tickets. We were not asked for a PS for MVMCP or a credit card to confirm, but some people have been.

I can't decide whether to purchase MVMCP tickets when they go on sale or wait until we arrive at WDW??????

What is everyone's opinion on this?

If you really want to go, you should buy them beforehand.

Luv2Roam--What if the weather is really bad? Would they still have the Christmas parade and fireworks? That's what we really want to see!

If you want to go on a Friday night, definitely buy ahead of time. Fridays usually start selling out in November, with the last Friday selling out first.

If you want to go on Sunday or Tuesday, you can wait until you get there. That is what we've done the past 3 years and those nights were not crowded. Just make sure you buy them at least the day before, the price is higher on the party date. I'm not sure about Thursdays.

One of the reasons we don't buy ahead is the weather. We've been lucky though, the night we planned on the past 2 years has been the best weather night of the week. They do cancel the parades & outdoor shows if the weather is really bad (rain & lightning). Plus they are non-refundable, I don't want to buy tickets in April and then something comes up.

There were reports last year of really bad weather...can't remember if it was cold or storms...and people did get refunds in that case. Doesn't help when you want to see the shows and such.

If you want Friday, you have to buy beforehand because the locals will go that night and the Fridays sell out beforehand.
