I've been reading about concierge benefits on the resorts board and am hoping to upgrade to lodge concierge for our stay at the GF in August.

I have booked through DU and am wondering if I should let them make my PS's or make them through the concierge (I have heard that you get good tables and are marked down as VIP if concierge makes the PS). I've also heard that concierge can sometimes get hard to make PS's like CRT.

Any experiences with concierge PS?

I would let concierge make your PS's if possible... we were definatley treated better, seated immediately and had the best tables as opposed to previous non concierge trips.

In fact - I booked Hoop Dee Doo as an afterthought - just the day before - our table was front and centre, touching the stage - I asked the waiter how on earth we received such great seats booking the day before and hedsaid - we had VIP status on the list:D

At CRT we had window seats in the castle overlooking the golden carousel. (Not to mention CRT was sold out and concierge was able to book us there anyway)

Also - there has been no wait anytime we arrived for out PS we are seated immediately.

Have fun planning your trip

We have a 7 night trip booked on the 12th floor of the Contemporary (Tower Club) for July 13 thru the 20. We recently sent the rest of our money to our travel agent to be sent to disney. My question is at what point can we contact the concierge about making some PS for us? We have not heard back from Disney yet. Thats another question how long after they have all your money does Disney usually contact you? Thanks

I'll be interested to see the answer to that one also- thanks for asking!!

Hi TripletDad,

We just booked our first concierge experience for August a few weeks ago (we will be staying at the Poly) and surprise of surprise there was a message on my answering machine yesterday from the concierge asking if he could help with itinerary planning including dining and recreation reservations. I called back today and left my name and phone number (haven't heard back yet). I was amazed that they already called though.

We reserved through a travel agent, so wonder if they'll contact us. Also, we're living in Ireland, so I hope we don't get a call in the middle of the night!!

Does anyone know if they email?
