PSD upgrade to DDP . . . change our minds?

This may sound like a silly question, but here it goes:
We are staying at the Pop and were able to get the PSD discount. My dh would like to upgrade to the DDP. I'm afraid that by the trip comes, we may change our minds. If I call and upgrade our dining plan, can I change it back?

I believe so. I have a FD package and was told I could upgrade/downgrade until 3 days before my trip (we are at Pop with FD QSDP). If you modify within 45 days before your trip you will be charged $50 change fee, which I have been told is usually waived if you are increasing the cost of your package. Also, there is a $15 fee on top of this within a shorter window (2 weeks? not sure...). So if you are not sure then you could keep the QSDP and upgrade before you leave with "no penalty" if the fees are waived, or downgrade and maybe pay the fee.

The only thing to consider (which I have seen on a couple of threads but not widely reported) is that FP+ "may" disappear when package changes are made. I have chosen to make my final changes before my 60 day window just in case....I've upgraded our dining plan, finalized dates and tickets and am waiting for my FP+ window to open. BTW I have downgraded and upgraded the dining plan 2 times since booking this package with no issues (but not within the 60 day window yet) and no charge (more than 45 days out..).
