OK I have about twenty PS since all the changes on EMH so now I have to narrow down.

If you had your choice would you pick a breakfast with the princesses (norway) or dinner with Cindy at GF. We have ressies at CM on our arrival night, but I was also able to get Park Fare that day so I have to choose between the two character meals for dinner. We have a DD 5 years old that loves CIndy and Ariel and Belle too. SO I don't know which character meal would be better for her. We have never done any of them. IS CM a DON"T MISS? I almost feel that we could do Park Fare and have a character meal done and then not have to make a early morning breakfast. (DH is kinda not happy about spending $100.00 on scrambled eggs but wants his DD to be happy.) So tell me at least how good is the food and/or character interaction at 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickeys and/or Princess Storybook.

Thanks

We were at Norway during Christmas week and did the breakfast. We saw plenty of princesses during our meal, but the food was rather lackluster. We didn't rate this highly. We enjoyed the breakfast food at 1900 Park Fare much better than we did at Norway.

By the way, we have eaten a breakfast and a dinner during each of our last two trips to WDW, neither was impressive. Once poor service, and the second time lackluster food.

except at some of the really upscale restaurants. Maybe we're just easy to please, but we are usually pretty happy with our dinners and lunches. We usually only do one breakfast........the last few trips it was CRT, but when we went at Christmas we decided to try PSB instead. Since I have sons who enjoy the princesses but don't HAVE to see them, I sort of felt like I shouldn't take the CRT space away from some little girl dying to see Cindy.........in fact, I think my boys enjoyed seeing Jasmine, Belle and Mulan better than the Cindy's girls anyway...........those are newer, more exciting movies I guess. We liked the PSB breakfast........they had cinnamon rolls and fruit first, and then brought a skillet with eggs, breakfast meats and good potatoes. There are lots of princesses! We also love Chef Mickey's for dinner.....it's a traditional first night for us, and again, with boys, they really love those characters.........and then we don't have to try to get those autographs in the park which can really eat up time. Also, my boys have to see Mickey just as soon as possible after arriving. We have not eaten at 1900 Park Fare........we have heard good things about it though.

Having done PSB and 1900 PF, I would recommend 1900. We have done dinner and breakfast there and both are great. The character interaction is much better at 1900. At PSB, it was very brisk and hurried. Also, I like the food better at 1900. Since it's a buffet, there is a lot more to choose from. Another option is to do Princess Storybook Dinner or lunch. I can't remember the date it starts (I'm sure you can find it on this board) but Akershus will be a family style princess meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I would be willing to try the lunch or dinner, but I won't be going back for breakfast.

As for Chef Mickey's, we've done it for dinner and had a great time. The characters were fun and the food was pretty good.

Been to both, liked 1900 Park Fare much better. The buffet was amazing... best breakfast on property (you don't feel like you are paying just to see the characters.... the food IS outstanding). We had fantastic service, and the characters were so much fun. When we went, Mary Poppins and Bert were in the lobby coloring with the kids while they were waiting to be seated, or if the kids got restless and you hadn't finished breakfast, they could go again and visit. Alice in Wonderland, Pooh and Tigger were making the rounds that day. Alice was wonderful. DD had dressed in her princess dress, complete with tiara. Alice asked if she could try on DD's tiara, as Cinderella would never let her. So she tried on the tiara. We had forgotten bobby pins, so the tiara had been precariously sitting on DD's head, so Alice pulled out one of her bobby pins and fastened DD's tiara to her head with it. It was so cute! Tigger came over and tried to eat my food, and Pooh was so loveable and funny!

At Princess Storybook breakfast they have family style served in a skillet to the table. They had scambled eggs (none of us like them), bacon, sausage, cheesy potatos (that was the best part), French toast sticks, and at the beginning there was a basket of muffins on the table and fresh fruit. The characters were really good, but didn't seem to have a lot of time to spend with each child and could only get by anyone's table once (unlike other character meals when you see the characters 2 or 3 times). DD did enjoy her interaction with Jasmine (DD had on her Jasmine costume this time. princess: ). Our server was really good and very friendly. He was an international student from Norway.

Which one would I return to?.. definitely 1900 Park Fare... but I guess if my one year old twin nieces just HAVE to eat with the Princesses when they get older, I will take them to PSB.... afterall, trying to get CRT is like pulling eye teeth in the dark with no instruments! And now that the Princesses will be at Norway for all meals, there is more of a chance of getting there and since I didn't like the eggs, perhaps (if they don't keep the same cold fish, etc buffet) I might like the food better, too. I am actually hoping they are big Alice and Mary Poppins fans!;) I have seen both of those DVD's rereleased, so maybe I will get them and send them to my brother to indoctrinate them into the "Bristish ladies", instead of the princesses;)

ROTFL! I am doing that exact thing with my DNce and DNph (5 and 8) so I can get to go to the 1900 breakfast! They already know all the words to most of the songs of Mary Poppins!! LOL ;) :rotfl:

We are actually going to the 1900 Park Fare dinner with Cindy. Is she really there and does she interact with the kids at dinner time. I didn't realize they had Mary Poppins at breakfast there. My kids haven't seen that video so I don't think that would have gone over. Anyone done the dinner there and if so how is the interaction with the kiddies and the food.

Thanks for any responses. We are leaning towards this over the breakfast at Norway and then trying to keep CM. UGH! Decisions.

Cinderella is there, as well as Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother (usually in the lobby), and Suzy and Pearla the mice. Cindy makes the rounds and typically spends quite a bit of time at each table. We've done dinner there twice and both times it was great. The food is good as well.
