PSB, any other bad experiences??

I was VERY disappointed with Princess Storybook Breakfast. Whether it was an "off" day (which I doubt), I think it is the biggest RIP OFF. The food was awful, the eggs were definitely like sponges, the bacon really undercooked (i didn't dare eat it), the french toast sticks were hard and cold, the potatoes & melon were the only food items that were passable. The service was fair, no special requests, I asked for warm milk to make dd's oatmeal (which I had with me), it was too tough of a request to grant...she didn't eat a bite of anything there and of course still charged me for her.

The princesses make their way around so it seems that they will come by your table by the time you're done eating (at least 30 min til the first one comes by) but then it seemed "rushed"...our PS were for 9.

I guess it just irks me because it's a wopping 19.95 a person, the food could be a heck of a lot better, plus I pay another 9.99 for dd and she doesn't eat a bite! (which I could deal with if it were decent). It just seems like since the princesses are in such high demand that Disney is taking advantage.

I almost wish we never did the princess breakfast at CRT's and now here because dd knows about it (& whenever we go to WDW she asks about the castle & princesses), it's just become such a rip off!!

Our last experience at CRT's was not a great one (we were overcharged because of confusion with the deposit), but it was still much better than PSB. I did send an email to WDW guest relations about this one though.

I'm sorry to hear of your bad experience. We were there last week and things were much better for us. The princesses started making their way around within the first 15 mins of us being seated. And they spent tons of time at our table. Our group was mixed on the food. My cousin and I thought things were great, while another adult in our group felt everything tasted like bacon or sausage since it was all in the same pan. We will request that it be separated for her next time. DD loved the french toast sticks and the eggs. Our seating was at 10am. I'm sorry things weren't good for you and here's hoping that it was just a bad day.

jwfla422 - I totally agree with you in how you feel. I have never done the Princess Breakfast but I do have something to add that I hope will make you feel better.

Even though it is a rip off your young daughter probably doesn't think so since she asks about it each time you go! I bet her face just lights up when they come around! Think of all the priceless memories you are making for her. Is it worth the money now? Only you can decide. But I would just grin and bear it and enjoy every minute while your daughter is still young. They grow up soon enough!

Wow, sorry you had such a bad time. We had a great breakfast there, hot food, crisp bacon, lots of time with the Princesses and were not rushed at all.

I am glad we experienced it, because my DD was dressed like Mulan, and I have gorgeous pictures of her and the real Mulan, but once was enough. The food was HORRIBLE. Powdered eggs, hard french toast etc. We were seated so close to the table next to us, that the guy said "thanks for inviting us", and I replied "Thanks for picking up the tab" Great way to meet new people though. Our server was never around, and when we did finally see him again, he had the bill for us. We weren't ready to go yet.

Sorry you had a bad time also. We must have hit it on a good day. I hope you spoke with a manager or left a comment card. Thats the only way things are going to change.

We weren't really impressed either. Hopefully, we just hit it on a bad day though. Our PS was for the first seating at 8:30. We didn't think the food was at all good. And believe me...I'm a real bacon, eggs, and sausage lover The only thing I really liked were the muffins, so we asked for more of those. Our server seemed to be a little out of it. At one point he said something about it being "early", so maybe he'd had a long night. Perhaps our biggest disapointment was that we didn't see a Princess until 9:30, and then they all came within minutes of each other. We were totally finished with our meal and ready to leave before they started coming by. On a good note - all the princesses were perfect at playing their parts. We also got to see Jasmine, and Pocohantas, which we hadn't seen at CRT. I'm still glad that we went, and that my little princess was able to see the Disney princesses up close and personal. I'm glad that they've added this meal as a way for everyone to have better access to the Princess characters. Maybe they just need to work on fine tuning the problems. We actually saw Belle later at the perfume shop in France, and she remembered DD. That put a smile on both of our faces!

I haven't been to the new princess breakfast, but have been to CRT 2 times. The first time was ok...new experience, exciting to be in the castle, yada yada....but that's about it. Nothing so special tho, that my(5 yo) daughter ever mentioned it again nor did she ever ask to eat there again. That being said, I remember the food as being ok, but nothing memorable. The last time we visited, I thought the breakfast was standard, at best. (My 7 yo dd wanted nothing to do with it, she would rather ride rides. We had to go however as we were going with friends/newbies that begged us.) We all felt the meal was nothing more than cafeteria fare. Powered eggs...quite yucky and even more gross...undercooked bacon. (Nothing grosses me out more) The fried pastry/french toast thingy was ok...sweet, but it is what it is...and that's what it's supposed to be. I did love the potatoes and fruit, however. That said, I find it hard to believe that folks rave about the food here. The experience, maybe....but the food? I know I am WAY in the minority here, lol, but just wanted to give you all my opinion.

I have never heard of or eaten I don't think, powdered eggs. I feel like these two breakfasts are just basic in the food category, but certainly fine. The fun is in meeting the characters and seeing the excitement of my DD. I am thrilled that they added the Storybook Breakfast and hopefully it will allow more people to see more of the princesses.

IMHO, they should add a "princess" meet & greet in one of the parks. I know it would be jammed, but it's just getting a little expensive for dd to see the princesses for an additional $30 each visit.

nutz4dzny-I do agree with you, the only way I can justify the cost is by how much dd enjoys it, but for some strange reason she didn't seem to enjoy it as much at PSB, I guess we'll have to try for CRT's next time and see how she reacts (if we can get in of course), she keeps asking to go to the "big" castle

My only argument is that they really can make the food better "quality" especially for that kind of $$$.

We're going to try the new Cinderella dinner at 1900 Pk Fare. We've had dinner there before and it wasn't bad-at this point I believe they are changing the characters and not the actual buffet.
