PSA: Free Government Covid test site now live

Uh no it said "usually ships within 7-12 days"

This thread is more for helpful stuff, telling people to stop freaking out isn't well helpful.
I think telling people to stop freaking out is pretty helpful. :confused3

I ordered on the first day and it said 4-6 weeks. Today it says "Shipping Note: Tests will ship as soon as they become available."

No reason to freak out. They will arrive soon.

Perhaps it's your tone then as you came onto the thread to say "People need to stop freaking out" on a thread about people discussing ordering the tests, people coming back on with information about tracking info, what type of tests, when they received them (and clearly some people received them quite quickly). It's all fairly informational here but there is no information being given to people, some are getting it without tracking information, some are getting it days early and some days late. Then there's temperature stuff being spoken about. Seems understandable people are like  and when people share information it helps others out. The entire thread was started to alert people that it launched early.

It's been saying that shipping notice, my husband when he ordered it on the first day did not have anything that said 4-6 weeks and when I checked 2 weeks ago nadda about 4-6 weeks. It has however been 7-12 days since the beginning (I went on to the website right after my husband told me he ordered ours and that's what it said and that's what it says now too). The White House press release even said it https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing...e-rapid-covid-19-tests-to-americans-for-free/

Maybe FB is a better place to tell people to stop freaking out.

We all understand that millions of us can't get the tests all within that timeframe it's the only reason I waited to even mention anything until 18 days but that was 18 days without any information on my end. Seems reasonable to want some information hence why people came back on asking if you ordered on the first day have you received it.

According to the tracking information ours at least made it to a USPS distribution center in our area an hour ago. Now to see how many stops (and days) til it gets delivered but I'm glad it's at least made it from CO.

Me too. Reminds me of someone protesting, “the check is the mail.”

Ours went out for delivery this morning and were just delivered with the normal mail a moment ago (which I figured based on the time it went out for delivery). It was a good day to deliver them as it's in the 50s but in a few hours a sharp cold front is moving in. The temps on the box read 36-86 degrees for acceptable storage.

Ours are iHealth ones expiring 7/6/2022. It's a bit like FlowFlex it looks like where it's a one and done test IF you have symptoms (FlowFlex didn't advise the "with symptoms" part) but if you're not experiencing symptoms it's advised to test serially which BinaxNow seems to default as a serial test.

I'm happy we got them :goodvibes but was hoping there was better communication on this all.

Keep up the hope y'all :flower3:

Just got ours today in regular mail - same temp warning - we've had some warmth this week, so hopefully they work. Mine are generic brand tests made in Korea by Roche, and are a single 4 test pack which also expires in July 2022...so, 25 days start to finish - could have been worse, and I guess if they delivered last weekend in our cold front, they definitely would have been worthless, so the lag means I can keep them vs immediately pitching them b/c we didn't even hit 36 for the high last weekend...

Glad you got them with the temps being good :)

I wonder just how many brands they purchased from sounds like at least 4-5 have been mentioned by people (based by name or storage temperature) throughout this thread.

I hadn't heard of iHealth before my mom mentioned she had ordered some of that just before health insurance companies were required to cover the costs of them.

I think I've pretty much just given up on mine. I managed to get 6 free tests through our public libraries 2 weeks ago--so easy and not sitting out in weather extremes. Due to this (and probably the federally provided tests), store availability to purchase them is getting better. Walked into Wegman's this morning and they have the FlowFlex tests sitting out in a bin with 8 for a limit and no one was even bothering with them. Also got something from my insurance last week on how to get reimbursed for the ones I had purchased after 1/15.

Mine came yesterday, and I did get an e-mail ahead of time, so was able to make sure they didn't sit out in the cold (the storage range appears to be 36°-86°). It's a small blue & white box of 4, with "Distribution by: Roche" in the corner, and it looks like they're good through July.

I got mine last week or so? Two boxes, with two tests each. I did not check the expiration dates yet. They look like they could have come from Dollar Tree.

Just ordered more, to replace the ones I used at disney. Don't worry, neg. Seems I was the only one on the disboards that didn't get covid at disney.
