PS Snafu for Birthday Lunch at BB - Advice Wanted

Ok, we ate there last night (Fri 20th) and there was one table, right about in the middle, that was waterside and held 6. They did not have the table we had with our party of 6 last year that I posted about earlier. I couldn't see all the way over on the far left so there may be another on that side, but I can confirm that there is, at least, one waterside table for 6 but no more than 2.

We ate at the Blue Bayou yesterday. At one point I specifically asked our server about more than 4 people sitting waterside. He said that they changed things around recently and he would check for me.

He came back later with the following information.

There is 1 waterside 6-top that is always there now. There used to be 2, but no longer.

If they can do it, and it may require a long wait, they can push together 4-tops to make a larger table, but (and he was very specific about this) it could mean an extremely long wait because it means having the luck of the right tables opening at the exact same time.

There is hope for a waterside table even if your reservation is at 11:50. We had a party of 6 with a reservation at that time during spring break. We checked in at 11:15 and requested waterside; they got us waterside and sitting early!!! I hope you have similar luck, my only suggestion is to check in early!! Even if you wait a bit chances are you get in early. I think that if people do not show up at the time they reserved you move up on the list and most people don't realize they can ask for waterside tables.

DizMe, DisneyDreams, and babnak...thank you all so very much! I really appreciate everyone's continuing interest in my dilemna! I think we'll try for the 11:50 time slot, get there early, request a waterside table for six, and hope for the best! Worst case, we'll enjoy a beautiful lunch inside the Blue Bayou futher away from the water.
