PS Questions - Advice please

I am planning my first trip down and I (21yrs) will be traveling with my boyfriend (21yrs) and bestfriend (24yrs). We will be staying at Pop Century May 30th-June 5th.

We have planned to eat at the following places for dinner (trying to save money and not eat everywhere but atleast one place per park for a dinner):
Magic Kingdom -- Liberty Tree
MGM --- Sci Fi Drive in
Epcot --- Ice Cream Social (not dinner I realize but it will give us the rest. experience)
*Maybe* Fort Wilderness Buffet-eria for our first night (a non-park day)

Like I said we are planning on doing dinner hours but unsure what time to request a PS (so as not to miss any parades and fewer crowds). Eatting late is not a problem. We will be visiting the parks each for one day and on our final day we plan to park hop to visit attractions we may have missed or wish to do again.

Any tips guys? I realize I am at day 60something and PS'ings are available at 90 days out. Will I encounter a problem?

Dont think you will have problems getting a PS for any of these locations.

They are good choices. You might consult the following page for parade & fireworks times http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm

Another couple you might consider where it is not expensive and PSs are not necessary, Beaches & Cream and Konas.

I am thinking you are visiting "the world" at a very good time of the year. School's aren't out then so the crowds shouldn't be killer!! I would still get you PS's ASAP so you can get better chances of getting the times you would like.

The Liberty Tree books quite quickly. Try to eat around 6 p.m.

Same with the Sci-Fi. Most folks on the boards will tell you it's better to get lunch here, since the dinner menu can be a bit iffy. They say the burgers and milk shakes for lunch are the best. Just some "food for thought" (pun intended! LOL).

The Ice Cream Social is only held in the afternoon, Before 3 p.m. if I remember correctly. It's strictly ice cream, no real food, but lots of fun none the less.

Trail End Buffet in Fort Wilderness is also a good choice. Plan on spending some time over that way. Theu have apetting zoo and hayrides. In the evening you can do the camp fire sing alongs and roast marshmellows. YUM SMORES!!!

Your plans sound great. (But the momma in me says, "eat something substancial on that ice cream social day!"). Have a great trip and make some special memories!!

I was also thinking of Beaches n Cream.

Not sure why you chose Liberty Tree, but I would try the CP. The food is great and it's a beautiful restaurant!

We are going to Disney for the first time in May. I thought my 4 year old daughter would love to have breakfast with Cinderella! I just figured out that so would everyone else. I can't believe people make breakfast and dinner reservations 3 months ahead of time. I guess I am way too late to be even thinking about getting a reservation there. Good thing I havn't told my daughter yet!

What about other ps'. My husband and his parents are also going, and I hate to strictly plan our vacation right down to when and where we eat 2 months ahead of time. I have read about a couple of restaurants that sound nice, like Ohana's. I'm guessing that places that have priority seating ....only allow people to eat there that have called ahead. You can't just walk up and put your name on a list the day of? Is there any hope for us to go to the cinerella's royal table character breakfast? It is only about 40 days before our trip.

Do people really plan every meal 90 days in advance? Isn't it hard to make it to every scheduled time? We are kind of wandering around and eat where ever looks good kind of people. Will we be doomed for standing in lines to eat hot dogs if we don't make some ps'?

Leslierx, All is not lost.

I just called today and got a PS for the princess breakfast in Epcot for 5/1. They had added some later times, which actually work good for us. We have a 11:00 PS so we will eat "brunch" that day.

I was also able to change my Fantasmic package to a later time. When I originally called I only had one option and the 5 of us had to split between 2 tables.

You might want to think about making one PS per day. That's what a lot of people seem to recommend.

You could also try the 1900 Park Fare at GF for the Cinderella character dinner. This doesn't fill up as fast.

Good thread. I'm a first timer to the WDW experience too and had a lot of the same questions. Leslierx, I also was concerned about having to plan for meals that far in advance. After reading this and other threads, I think I will make a few PS's for lunches and then go with the flow for everything else.

I called back and they still had The Cinderella dinner at The Grand Floridian open. So I booked that. I think it will be fabulous!

I'm also concidering either sci-fi or 50's prime time cafe. I think the rest of the trip we will just wing it.
