My group desn't want to be tied down to a schedule, but I know that we definitely want to do the Cryatal Palace. Should I go ahead and book a PS, and hope that it all works out? Does it cause the CM's too large of a headacheif people don't show up?

I'm sure that If I book a PS that we'll go, but I don't want to cause a prob if we don't.

I went to Crustal Palace in 2000 without PS, and We only waited about ten minutes, so I ama bit confused about PS. What makes it so much better?

If your plans do not work out you'll have to cancel 48 hours before the PS. If you don't they will charge your credit card. It is much better, in my opinion, to have the PS just in case. If you get there and your plans change just make sure you give them the 48 hour notice.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Crystal Palace has a 48-hour cancellation window, and they don't require a deposit unless something changed since we were there last Sept? Large group dining may be different?

I just booked CP for lunch for a May trip and no credit card was required. I make lots of ps just in case. It gives you options and in most cases, doesn't require a credit card to hold. I do cancel if I know I'm not going, unless it's a last minute decision. That's why they call it a priority seating, not a reservation. Having a ps can significantly cut your wait or in some cases, enable you to get in when a restaurant is closed to walk ups. It's nice to have a time available to you when your two kids are squalking about being hungry and don't want to wait "patiently" for 30 minutes to sit down.

We always hit cp for lunch our first day in the MK. It's lovely.

No - no credit card is required for Crystal Palace. The previous poster was no doubt thinking of Cinderella's Royal Table. Whether you would be able to get a table without a PS really depends on when you are going, what time of the day you want to eat, how many are in your party, and how many people made PS when you didn't. I've always made PS when we go. Sometimes I think we would have been seated without a PS just as fast and other times I know we would have been turned aways completly or waited a long time. While I always plan to go to every PS I make, sometime I miss them for whatever reason. I think that's fine. That's the reason the system is set up the way it is.

Make a PS before you go. You can't always get so lucky with a 10 min. wait--especially on a weekend. i put WDW dining # on my cell, if we can't make it --I just give them a courtesy call. I really like CP---we like the atmosphere , the interaction and the food. Have Fun!!

No credit card is required for most PS's unless you are in a large group catagory - last year I made PS's for 13 and I had to give a CC # for each PS - There was no deposit or anything but they would charge a no show fee if we didn't show up - The cancellation policy is a bit different on large groups - all PS's must be cancelled with 48 hours for a large group - now here is what I am not sure , what qualifies as a large group - We had 13 - we were a large group - I'm not sure if it is 10 and up or 12 and up - You may want to give the dining line a call and ask before you make a PS just to be sure. Have fun!! :flower:
