PS Question

Does priority seating just let you bypass any line (if there is one) at the time of your PS? Also, do you prepay when you make the PS or do you pay at the restaurant or do you need to buy vouchers?

Hello,

Well PS basically guarantees you that you will have a place to eat in what ever restaurant you choose at a specific time and date that books through PS... We do the blue bayou because if you try to go without a PS reservation your chances of eating there are very slim not saying there isn't a chance but its hard. They are always booked if you try to go with out one. To answer your other question, you can NOT prepay for a restaurant. I hope that helps you enjoy your trip

You still have to wait in line. The people in line are either reporting for their PSs too or seeing if they can make a PS for some time that day.

So the people who buy the vouchers from ARES etc. ahead of time do that to save a few dollars and then also make a PS for the time?

Exactly. It's a little bit more complicated than that, but that's the basic idea.

The Character Meal Vouchers are a form of payment, not a Priority Seating arrangement.

You have to wait in line to check in, and then you'll have to wait another 5-10 min. depending on the availability of your table and others who have checked in before you. BUT you shouldn't have to wait too long to get in. You do not prepay, you pay after you eat, there is no penalty for not showing up but they do ask that you let them know at DD is you won't make it.
