PS needed for Kona cafe in the am?

Just wondering if PS is needed for a breakfast at the Kona Cafe. I hear great things about it and would like to try it when we go back. We will be staying on-site (not the polynesian though ).

Any info appreciated. Thanks!

We are going during spring break. We made a PS for every place that we plan on eating at. We also have a PS for Kona for breakfast. I don't want to be turned away or have to wait 1.5 hours! Better safe than sorry!

Since you are going during Spring break, I would certainly make a PS.

We have had breakfast there probably 100 times and I am not kidding about that! Sometimes it would be easy to get in without a PS especially early in the am. Sometimes it is very busy. It is also hard to predict. So we just always try to make a PS even if we call from the room the night before.

if we are staying on disney property, drive ourselves to the polynesian, have breakfast.... can we then leave the car there and take the monorail?

No, if everyone parked at the Polynesian, there wouldn't be room for the hotel guests. They will give you a 2 or 3 hour parking pass but it is intended for dining and enjoying the resort. Supposedly, cars are sometimes towed.

But it is really easy to park at the TTC and walk or take the resort monorail to Kona. The monorail will drop you off right by the restaurant. It is the first stop after the TTC. Then you won't have to worry about your car and timing. Enjoy your breakfast!

Our last trip (in October) we did not make PS for breakfast at Kona, and had a wait of about ninety minutes.

Since at least one breakfast at Kona is part of our ritual, from now on it is PS for us!

Definitely make a PS. We visited the Kona Cafe during a very slow time of year and had to wait. It's quite popular at breakfast time.
