PS MIX UP...BEWARE- Dont give up

First call 9:30 am today

I called for ps this am for fantasmic dinner package for Aug 16th- for a family of four. I was told that Hollywood & Vine had no availability but mama's and Brown Derby did. I forgot my credit card and had to wait till I came home from work to do my PS.

2nd call 7pm today

Spoke with a lady that told me that they were not reserving these packages for August yet. I had to wait until June 16th and call back. I told her about my morning call and she told me the other person gave me incorrect info. She was not very polite, and I told her that I would hang up and call back and get another agent to verify just to make sure. She said okay.

3rd Call 7:05pm today

Talked to agent advised her of situation. She apologized for confusion and told me that I could do ps for fantasmic dinner package today. Said H&V had two open tables for 2 people each only, which they may or may not put the tables together. I chose to do that. They did not have one table for four. So we made PS for the place and night I wanted...It just took 3 calls to get the right person to help me. My husband and I may just split up and each take one child. Which will give us extra special alone time with that child.

I learned a lesson from this and hope others will too by checking and rechecking information and asking for help and other alternatives. If you get someone you feel you are not connecting with...Call back. I am sure glad I did because she was so helpful.

She even asked if we had tried getting reservations for Cindy's character breakfast. I told her no because they were so hard to come by...She checked and found an opening for our family on the same date! She said that was very unusual and we gladly took the reservation.

So Iam glad I kept calling...It really paid off for me.

I know how you feel. On May 1st, I called so we could get MMVMCP tickets. I was told they were not on sale and all I was told after that was that there just not available yet. So I called around 5 pm that day and ordered the tickets. Woohoo. After coming back on these boards I read that some people were getting PS at the LTT so they would not have to leave the park the night of the MMVMCP. So I called and was told that is not the case. I called right back and was told it was and now we have PS for Dec. It pays. If you can get the feel for what they are saying on the phone and listen and not get offended, you can tell if they know or if they don't know what they are talking about, even though they work for Disney. Disney is great and I would love to work for them, but some times people who live there may get tired of the magic too soon and not realize people don't live there and need that magic. So be persistant and your wish just might come true.

Call back at around 30 to 40 days out (be persistent) and you should be able to get a later time with a table for 4.

I would call back every day. You never know when someone will cancel.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party...a hard ticket event at MK during select nights in December.

You can see the Christmas parade, snow on Main street, free souvenir photo, Xmas shows etc...

It's 7:00p to Midnight. You call the main Disney number to book it.

I'm at the point where I will call at least three times before accepting an answer that I don't like from WDW-DINE or WDW-PLAY. It's somewhat ridiculous to have cast members all on different wavelengths but that's how it has been for me for over the last three years. Probably, 95% of the time this strategy has paid off for me.

I believe some CMs lack training and experience; so, rather then going to their supervisor, etc. to get more help they simply tell you it's a no go just to get you to leave them alone and hang up. I know noone wants to hear this but this has happened way too many times for me to ignore this as being just chance. I play the game; so, I make multiple calls and I do get the results I want but it can be a hard struggle sometimes. The only time this seems easier is if we stay Concierge and we let them handle the details.
