Does anyone know if it's acceptable to make a PS for a dessert, or perhaps for appetizers & a dessert, as opposed to a full-fledged meal?

Thanks!

But I would advise a late PS around 2ish. :flower: :sunny: :goodvibes

Some people may disagree, but WHY NOT? You are going to eat. You will tip. Nobody says you have to have a whole meal. I probably would do it for appetizers and dessert. My husband and I split meals sometimes in conjunction with ordering an appetizer. My kids, 2 and 6, split a meal. Nothing wrong with it. :)

My mom and sister did just this, and they were told they would have to order a meal or not be seated (at CG). So, you could make one, but be prepared to be turned away when you check in if the restaurant was busy or during prime mealtimes.

It makes sense, since they will lose money on your table and your waiter will lose in tips if during a busier time.

I would do it during off times, or just stop by and ask if it's okay.

It also depends where you want to go. If it's one of the higher end restaurants - no, they won't seat you, most likely. Or if they do, they won't be happy about it, because of the reasons Aimeedyan mentioned.

That said, we often go to restaurants and have appetizers, alcoholic drinks, and desserts, which end up costing as much as entrees do, and we've done this at Jiko and the California Grill.
