PS at Chef Mickey's and watching Wishes from CG?

We have a 7:30 PS on a Friday night at Chef Mickey's. We are not staying at that resort. On that date Wishes is to be at 8:45 pm-- someone suggested that we go to the CG to watch the fireworks. How does this happen? Do you just GO there and watch them with the people that PAID to be there in that restaurant? How does this work? Thanks!

This is no longer allowed. Only patrons of CG can watch the fireworks from there. However, there is an observation deck on the concourse level of the CR where you can watch the MK fireworks. Just go out the doors at the gift shop end of the concourse.

Do you know if the music is piped in on the observation deck? We are looking for a place to watch Wishes on a non-park day, but really want to be able to hear the music too (the best part!)

Yes, the music was piped in when we watched from this viewpoint. Speakers were mounted on the wall behind where we stood.

i had also heard that you could no longer go to the observation deck just outside california grill but when we visited in december, we had no issues with riding the elevator up to california grill and just taking a left out of the elevators and out to the observation deck...there were actaully quite a few people out there that did not eat at the restraunt...i would suggest that you go up and try to use the observation deck at california grill...the most they can do is come out and ask you to move down with the lower deck...

and yes, they do pipe in the music to the observation deck...have watched the fireworks display from the deck several times now...it is our first night ritual...dinner at chef mickeys followed by fireworks...

What time is good to make reservations at Chief Mickey's then go to a obervation deck to see the fireworks or do I have to wait to see when the wishes show will be in december?

I would check and see when they usually do the Wishes show before you make the PS--- it changes--- we have a 7:30 PS and the show is at 8:45-- hope we make it
