Provo Craft Rebate/cricut Issues!

I was fortunate enough to get a Cricut Expression bundle
AND Provo craft was running a PROMO (rebate ID CRA-538) for FREE download of FULL Design Studio (they send a trial and then supposedly send a serial number to unlock the full version) IF you bought it on Black Friday at AC MOORE
Said it took 4-6 weeks processing.
I know (by certified mail) that it was recv'd on 12/8, I call today and after being bounced around they say
*they have no way to say if it was recv's (no tracking?????)
**they are way behind and have not even begun to process what they have and it will take another 10-12 weeks!!! (they charged a 5.95 fee for their processing mind you!!)
SO disappointed from this company.

In the meantime, I purchased the YOURSTORY (acmoore, 50%) which I got for $50. THEN the promo with Provo Craft was
2 free albums (they go for $20 each)
One free download
$100. online credit at cricut.com (which small print said has to be used by 7/1/09)

Well, they "found me" in system (thank goodness, but I also did certified mail on this one) BUT they have also not even started that processing, and she had NO date for me on this but thought it would be sooner than other!

By the way, one of the new cartridges I bought had this "reward" thing in it where you log in and use credits towards stuff, THAT failed to work at all. I was told to email their support devision and they'll re-issue a new number as they "glitch" sometimes :worship:

SO, my experience with PROVOCRAFT is a BIG FAT ZERO and despite the fact I do like the cricut (its amazing) I think they have a L O N G way to go about handling rebates/inquiries.

ANYONE else in same situation?????
DO you think I should do anything else at this point????
I am thinking maybe a follow up certified letter to "move me" along????

I know the last time they had a cartridge rebate it took 3-4 months for most people to get their items. I haven't gotten most of my rebates from Black Friday yet. They generally take until February to show up and I get surprised with a little extra then. They do not ever seem to know the number of people that will fill out a rebate and therefore seem to have trouble getting it processed.

I doubt that continuing to call and check on it will help. I haven't heard stories of people not getting their items- just it taking awhile. I would say you will get it sooner or later but it sounds like it might be March when you get them.

At the same time, while I have heard their rebates take forever, I also know that they have great costumer service when a machine under warrenty breaks down. I had a new machine within a few weeks of calling about a problem with it.

I guess I'll just diary ahead till March first and hope for the best!
