So the MoHome is bought and paid for. Drove to Atlanta, parked, flew to Virginia to pick it up, drove it back to Georgia to set it up.
Very nice ride. We did stop for the night in SC and it poured down rain. Thank the Lord it rained or we would never had found the leaks.
You all warned me about new vs. used.
The good and bad of it.
Bedroom window not caulked completely. Fixed
Major leak, water stain on shades. Replacing
Bathroom sink not hooked up. Fixed
Water heater bypass knob pierced through heat duct. Fixed
Privacy curtain 8" to short horizontally. Replacing
3 HD TV's with only standard TV connections. Stupid
Wrong in-motion satellite for Direct TV connection. ???
No caulking in the shower. Still to be fixed.
I am expecting more but I do love it!

I hope to purchase a "new" new something someday....is THAT MUCH stuff normal right out of the gate in a new unit purchase?

I'll make you feel better... friends of our bought a brand new travel trailer, took it on their first trip where they drove through rain. Put the slideout out and the whole floor was wet. 1/2 the lights didn't work, kept popping a fuze when they turned on more then one appliance. Took it back to get warranty work done and the dealership left the door open in the rain and now has to replace the whole counter. :scared1:
Just b/c you buy new doesn't mean there won't be problems. Enjoy your new rig :)

I sympathize about the warranty work on new coaches. We just got our Winnebago back after 6 weeks in the shop.

We are totally happy with the results though. The long slideout was coming in slightly crooked (but we still were using it). They had to replace the complete motor and tracks - works terrific now.

Drivers side window unit leaked - had to replace complete unit. Furnace wasn't working properly - just two wires touching each other!

It took so long because of parts - must have been very 'slow' freight!

It's totally normal to have some repairs (after all it is a self contained unit with lots of moving parts, appliances, etc.), but the slide out was not a usual problem.

Hope you are good to go now OP. :goodvibes

We brought new and we keep finding out new things that need to be fixed.

First thing was the grey tank wouldn't open had to get someone to come out at the fort $430 was able to get half the money back from Winnebago..

Table broke first time using it for a bed, had to get that fixed and they had to order a new table. Once back seems Winnebago kept my legs to my table, had to have them order new legs so I could put my table back up.

Battery keeps going dead and had to get a new battery, Winnebago and then Ford looked over all the wires, but they can't really find anything, so we have to make sure we keep charging it every few days.

Screen door latch broke, order part and my husband fixed it.

Back up camera isn't working as it stopped working on the way to Disney need to have that looked at.

I still love my RV but I can see that even if you buy it new, things are always going to keep happening.
Our RV is a 2014 and we just got it in April...

Sorry, you sure 'are' having lots of problems. We have purchased several new RV's over the years but our latest MH is the only one we had to take back for warranty work. We are totally happy with it now.

Sure hope everything can be fixed soon to your satisfaction so you can start having some relaxing carefree camping vacations. :goodvibes

Wow ! I feel really lucky, bought ours new and just had to have the entry door adjusted as you had to really slam it to close. Also had a chassis brake recall , but never had issue with the brakes.

Enjoy your new rig!
We bought a brand new Lexington (by Forest River) last August - noticed a water stain in one corner. (As very experienced RVers we should have known better and run the other way.) It was "totally repaired" prior to delivery. First trip out I noticed a strong smell of mildrew from the bedroom slider - coupled with a full-blown asthma attack. Many frustrating days later, the dealer said they had a similar probelm in another Lexington and knew how to address it. The slider was removed and the entire backside of the coach was black from mold and mildew, over under and around the slide out. Dealer assured us it could be fixed. We threatened lemon law and at one point were told "It became your problem the day you took delivery." What a nightmare. Finally, after many heated discussions, all of our initial investment was applied to a new coach
We are absolutely thrilled with our Winnebago. Have had it out a number of times with only very minor issues to be addressed.

Crazy, isn't it? If I bought a new car I would not expect problems but with RV's I always expect issues.

Nope, not crazy! Cars and MH's are poles apart on all the things they contain that can slip through inspections. We have had units that had few, if any, warranty problems, then some that have needed more. Does seem like your list is pretty extensive though!
