My 4 year old, like most 4 year olds I would imagine, wants everything for Christmas. Evvery ad, every commercial... he even told me to add some Wendy's French Fries to the list. Finally, I had to explain that Santa can't bring him all the presents, or his friends would not be able to get any. He agreed he didn't want to be greedy and wanted all his friends to get presents also.

So we go to see Santa and Santa asks what he wants... ds answers a "Thomas light-up". Santa presses on... "anything else"... and ds hesitates... "a Spanish Buzz" "anything else" Santa urges. Ds says "Well I want some bubblegum too, but make sure my friends gets presents first."

Awww...those little moments.

(Later, when I explained that mommy and daddy would also buy him presents he reverted back to asking for everything again, just for me to buy it instead of Santa to bring it.)

Aw what a sweet kind-hearted little boy. It's hard for kids to think outside their own box, but you taught him well. Now he has compassion for other children and you can save some money! lol

Very cute, I have a co-worker who's daughter is about 2 1/2 years old and when asked by her parents what she wanted for Christmas she would go off and tell them candy and presents. Well when they finally went to see Santa she got up in his lap and when asked by Santa what she wanted for Christmas her reply was "I want a bag of beans" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:When further asked she said that is all I want is a bag of beans.....So cute!!

Those are always feel good moments for sure. My DD11 (who I suspect is not a believer but has not spoken the words) wrote a letter to Santa (all the kids do every eyar, even my DD16 still does.)) Anyway, she wrote Thank You for all you have given me over the years. I can't think of anything that I need or want but just wanted to say thanks. It made me tear up (though it drove me crazy trying to figure out what to get her!) We did a lot of charity work this year and collected a lot of toys and stuff for sick kids and the poor so it's good to know it was sinking in and she realized how blessed they are. :goodvibes

Awwww.

My daughter's daycare is tied in with a church. They have been learning Christmas songs over the past few weeks to sing at a Christmas program we attended this morning at the church.

Anyway, a few weeks ago she came home and asked "Mommy is Santa watching me?"

And I told her yes, he was, knowing she had been learning the song "Santa Claus is Coming To Town." So she says, "Why is he watchign me?" I told her that Santa was watching her to see if she is being naughty or nice so he will now to bring her presents.

Sadly, since then, when she throws a tantrum, I have to pull out the "Santa Card" and remind her that he is watching. I never say that Santa won't bring her anything, but I phrase it and ask "Are you being nice to.....Mommy/Daddy/toys/the dog/sharing/friends/etc...?" And she stops her fit and says "I want to be nice, I want a toy from Santa."

Sweet

I took DS to see Santa at the beginning of December. He was totally overwhelmed and didn't really say anything. He went back with his Kindergarten class on a field trip and, apparently deciding he had a second chance to get this right, hopped up on Santa's lap and began listing things. His teacher said "I couldn't hear what he was saying but Santa kept saying 'Oh....my'" LOL I could tell her what he was asking for: A motorcycle - a REAL one, a go cart - to drive to school, and a treehouse - but not close to the ground...20 feet up, please. No wonder Santa was a bit :scared1:

He is getting a little go cart but he may be disappointed to not get to drive it to school (I'm sure he can just see his little parking space beside the principal's car :rotfl:)
