So, I booked my first cruise 3 nights from FL on the Wish. There werent many rooms left so I took a veranda room on the 13th deck. I thought the middle and back where sold out, but in looking into it, it turns out there are no rooms on the 13th level middle and back. lol

So, what are the pros and cons of being on the 13th deck? Will we feel the waves that much more? Of course I dont like heights, so good luck to me on the veranda overlooking 13 levels.

Any words of advice or warning? Pros or Cons?

All the concierge rooms, which is what you booked, are far forward and up high so there aren’t really any alternatives to avoid the ocean movement and heights unless you downgrade from concierge to a regular room.

If you have a stateroom on deck 13, you have a Concierge stateroom, which comes with a bunch of perks at a hefty premium. Most cruisers do not pick between a non-concierge room and a concierge room based on location, because of the upcharge.

Theoretically, you could feel the ship moving more than if you were staying on a lower deck, but that implies that the ship will hit some noticeable waves (which is not a given) and that it will bother you (only 10% of cruisers are impacted by the ship’s movement in normal conditions).

The private Concierge sun deck will be just at the end of the hall, with access to the Concierge lounge just a deck down.

oh lord, i hadnt even thought of that. now i am. thanks! ;)
lol please don't feel worried..! Other cultures all have their own superstitions (for example 4 is bad in Japan as well as 9) - if you try to dodge all of them you'd never get anything done! ;)

You may feel the movement a little more, but I've always felt it more forward then in the middle; YMMV on that one. For heights my advice would be to look outwards instead of down, and take comfort in the high railings!
