Pros & Cons - switching hotels midtrip?!?

We split our last trip and I'm just not certain that I would do it again. We didn't use the luggage transfer service since we had a car so that was not a problem but we spent a long time sitting in the lobby at WL waiting on her room to be ready.

It was so hot out that we could not leave certain items in the car and certain items I was to nervous to bell check so we waited in the lobby for quite awhile.

The pro was that my DS got to try AKL which was his wish and we got to go back to WL which was our wish.

Next time though I'd take WL the entire time if possible :sunny:

Been there, done that, never again. It just wasn't worth the bother.
Was switching resorts a bad idea.................or just faulty implementation? ;)

Thanks everyone! I believe that I will give it a try, and incorporate many of the ideas that you guys have had. I to will have a car and will move my own luggage. I have a nice set of luggage that straps together and rows. I always just move my own luggage. I have made two trips to WDW. Both times I was signed in quickly and went straight to my room with no wait. I guess I've been lucky. I have decided to take one poster's advice and switch the value resort to the first part of the vacation and the move to WL last. The plan is to wear our swim suits under clothes, check out, load the car, drive over to WL, leave the luggage in the car, check in, look around the resort for a while and then head to the pool area until our room is ready. Then we will go to the room, shower and change for a PS at Whispering Canyon Cafe. If it doesn't work for us, we just won't try it again.
