Pros & Cons of using Magical Express?

We have had good luck with DME, 5 times. I really like not having to stop and wait for my bags before getting on the bus. Our bags are always in our room when we get back from the parks.

I would think the bed bug concern would be the same for using DME and putting it in the luggage hold on the plane.

Thank you everyone for your helpful, and balanced, responses to my question about DME. It sounds like if you have realistic expectations, all will be fine.

Now, for a really strange question. I was just reading the thread about bedbugs (never, ever crossed my mind at WDW and now I am a bit freaked out!). One thing that stuck out was a comment about contaminated luggage on DME transferring bedbugs from one luggage to another. Has anyone actually know if this happens? I would think WDW would use state of the art approaches to prevent that from happening, right?
Okay...stop worrying. 'IF' there were to be bedbugs in the DME luggage trucks, they most likely came from someone's luggage...and that luggage came off the plane. Can it happen? Sure it can. And you could be a carrier and not even know it. Your bags could have been up against a bag, in the baggage hold of the plane, that had the pesky little critters on it. Now, you are the one bringing in bedbugs!!!
Same goes for rooms. Use common sense. If you check out your room, before unpacking, you should be fine. And worrying about bedbugs coming in with luggage?? I just can't stress over that. In all reality??? Bedbugs have been found in dressing rooms at stores!!!!

DME, IMO, is top notch.

We have RARELY waited for a bus when we arrive...the most being 5 minutes. We love seeing the other resorts so stopping along the way - no problem (I actually prefer to be the last ones off!), and love not lugging the luggage all over.

Bed bugs - not even on my radar.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. DME sounds great and I am not worrying about the "what ifs" anymore!
