Pros and Cons of Renting a Car

In all the times I've been there, we've always had a rental car. There's sooo much to see and do outside of the parks, I wouldn't even think of not having the car/van to go out and about as we wished!

Of course the biggest CON in renting a car (if you will excuse the pun) is how the car rental companies try to sell you insurance you already have thru your homeowners or auto policies at home, or that you automatically get thru your credit card company (like AmEx). If you buy it, you have been conned out of that money.

Another con, of the more conventional sort, is that we have found that taking Disney Buses gets us to the parks more quickly most times than driving, parking and then taking the endless tram ride thru the enormous parking lots; the buses (or boats or monorails) drop you off right at the gate more or less. This is why we prefer to stay on-site.
