I am to debating going moderate in february with play, stay and dine. What's the benefits and issues with carribean beach and coronado springs? I haven't been, to a moderate and wonder whether they will feel like disney. Done pop century last time.

Hi,

I cannot comment on CBR, but I have stayed at CSR. We really enjoyed it. I know it is too large for some people but we liked that because we liked walking around the lake, etc. We liked that the beds are queens instead of standard. The Pepper Market was good and we ate at the sit down restaurant one night (can't recall the name right now) and it was quite good. It is the only moderate with a fitness center and my hubby loved that. The pool was awesome. We stayed at Pop in June and my kids loved it as well. Now that I am a single mom we will most likely go back to Pop (we don't spend that much time at the resort, except for a designated resort day) so it works for us.

You'll be happy whatever you decide :)

We've never stayed at CSR, but we had a great time at CBR :). We didn't have any issues at all during our stay as everything was positive......the grounds were beautiful, the pool was awesome, the food court was great with alot of variety, and the bus transportation was very quick and efficient :thumbsup2.

I loved CSR. Such a pretty resort, beautiful landscaping. The main pool was great, and i loved refilling my mug there. Very convenient considering our room was right by the main pool. Another perk is that QS food is available at the pool! Its great! The buses are by far the best i have ever experienced. we didn't wait more than five minutes, literally. It was great.

Pepper market breakfast buffet, QS btw, was very good considering its a QS! Food was great! Dinner was a la carte and was just ok. Nothing special.

We have stayed at both this past year. Both are beautiful resorts. Both are also large and very spread out. For younger families, I say cbr is the better choice. The pool is much more child friends and has a fantastic play area for younger children. CSR had a deeper pool with a slide more appropriate for older children and a very pitiful kids water play area. We also thought that CSR had a more adult atmosphere. For food, I think CSR is the clear winner. We loved the food options here and really enjoyed the pepper market, especially that you pay for your food after eating so no cold food from waiting in the food court lines. Bus transportation was fine for us at both. We preferred the rooms at CSR (queen beds over cbr doubles) but the room to us was the least Disney feel. Also, a preferred room at CSR will land you by the food but far from the themed pool. Preferred at cbr places you close to the pool and food court. I will also say that I feel the length of time it takes to get places in these resorts is greatly over exaggerated on these boards. We stayed in the building farthest from the amenities at cbr and it took us 7 minutes to walk quickly, 10 minutes at a very leisurely pace. We liked both so hope this helps you compare the two.
