Proposing at WDW

Hey guys and Girls, i posted a thread in the Gay/Lesbian forum but thought i may get more advice here.

I plan to propose to my boyfriend at WDW Next september on our 3 week trip.

My current plan is on the first day, go to Magic Kingdom with dinner at California Grill early evening.

On the same day, i want to propose.

I would like peoples views on the Wishes Premium River Cruise. I see it's about 90 minutes long for $350 and includes viewing for wishes with music pumped through.

Is this a good idea? Do they start from the Contemporary resort?

Would it be possible to pay and get extras like a Bottle of champaign of the boat or a Photopass cast member to take pictures?

Yes it can leave from the Contemporary
Yes you can get a bottle of fizz
You can get a local photographer to take photos not sure if you can get one via Disney

awesome. I didn't want to trek to poly or Fort Wilderness to get the platoon so thats ideal.

I think a bottle of bubbly would be perfect. I wonder if the skipper/driver will be willing to take pics?

My Wishes cruise was 2007 so ages ago but no they wouldn't take photos then

OK, Thank you for the reply. Its not essential to have photos as i do want it to be a private event.

A friend of mine was proposed to on a Wishes cruise in 2012. Their driver did take a photo or two of them immediately after. I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of those things (the taking pf photos) that differs from CM to CM.

Thanks for the replies. It's not the 'end of the world' if not but would be worth finding out.

A bottle of bubbly would be nice.

Somehow i need to get him out of Magic Kingdom and changed into some 'smarter' clothes for that evening. I may just use the California Grill being a posh restaurant as the excuse. I don't want to propose all sweaty from a day in the parks lol
