 I will be in the world 5/27 - 6/2 and I need suggestions on where would be a good magical place to ask my girl friend to marry me. It can be somewhere in the park (preferrably MK) or at a nice romantic dinner on site.

My now dh and I were engaged at WDW. It is one of my favorite places so he planned to give me my ring there ... but had NO plan at all.

The short story is that he gave it to me at Cinderella's Wishing Well which is just to the right of the castle, between it and Tomorrowland. It was an absolutely perfect moment and we go back there every visit.

The longer version is that he had no clue where he could give me the ring. We walked around aimlessly and finally came upon Belle's story area. Dh told me he was tired and needed to sit down a while (even though we had just gotten to the park??). I looked around and saw that it was for Belle's storytelling and told him I didn't think we were allowed to hang out there.

So we walked down the walk a bit more and came across the wishing well. I suggested we sit there... dh looked around, saw that it was deserted, and agreed. First he asked me if I wanted to make a wish... which I did, so he gave me a penny.. while I was asking why the well was Cinderella's and not Snow Whites. I leaned over the well to toss the penny and discovered that there was little to now water and complained about that for a bit.

I turned around and there was dh on one knee w/ my ering... and he asked, "Is this what you wished for?"

So even though I was a huge PITA, he asked me anyway. We've been married 6.5yrs and have two kids that are as addicted to Mickey as their mom is. :smickey:

I know they do a proposal package at Cinderella's Royal Table :)

Or if you want to make a big deal, at the CRT dinner when the Fairy Godmother asks who has something to celebrate - you could put your hand up, go down on one knee and ask her to marry you :)

We had dinner at CRT later the same night and THREE people were engaged while we were there!

Oh my gosh - If I was the 2nd or 3rd guy I definately wouldn't have asked! When I get engaged, I'd like to feel like I'm the only girl in the world that's newly engaged!

woo..hoo..

A couple of visits ago......at Magic Kingdom

it was very early at park opening when they have all their photographers all over Main Street with the castle in the backround. They stood to take their picture and the gentlemen got down on his knee .... the photographer kept clicking away...all the guests just stood back and got out of the way...

It was so wonderful that they could get all the reactions on film:love:

Best Wishes!:thumbsup2

This is how my DF proposed, except at Disneyland in front of the castle at night. It was really neat bc we did get lots of pics -- although they cost us a TON bc we had to buy all of them lol. It was really neat. Also, I think you can hire Disney Photography if you want it photographed at a location where they don't normally have people.

Also, I've seen some people have gotten engaged at the beaches at the resorts - I remember someone got engaged at the Poly not too long ago.

You can get all the pics on the photopass CD and print them yourselves.
You can put as many pics from the trip on the CD as you want and I think it costs somewhere between $90-$130.

$99.99 plus tax! We did it for our honeymoon trip. We used that card all over the world and had a lot of great picks from the trip. It's only worth the money if you take a *ton* of photopass pics. HTH

What if you told your server what you wanted to do in advanced, either by calling the morning of and talking to the manager, or whatever, but after you eat you could have them put them ring on top of the Cinderellas slipper dessert, and when you see them coming over with it start your speech, and end up on one knee. Or you could have them bring out a glass slipper that they sell on Main Street and have it engraved with the date, and have the ring in their! Good luck! How exciting!

That was me :teeth: My DFi arranged for a treasure hunt on the beach of the Poly on my birthday. First we found a message in a bottle while walking the beach, in the bottle there was a a little poem telling us to hunt for a star in the sand. When we finnaly found the star we had to dig in the sand and we found a treasure chest. In the chest was my ring box and another little love not fomr my fiance. He got down on one knee and took out the ring and asked me

He had a service called Gifts of A Lifetime (not done by disney, giftsofalifetime.com) arrange the whole thing. It cost money, but it was worth it for him because it took all the stress off and let him enjoy the day too. The woman who owns it, Jane, was hiding taking pictures of us the whole time, which was very nice.

My DF proposed last May at the POR resort. He knew that WDW was the perfect place to propose to me, but also knew that I always wanted the proposal to be private, not with dozens of people standing around watching. So he arranged for us to take a carriage ride around Port Orleans and after that took a beautiful walk back to our room. Just outside our room was a huge fountain all lit up, so I sat down on it and that's when he proposed - just the two of us were there. It was so special and romantic. So you could look around where you're staying, too, because the resorts have some of the most secluded, romantic locations. We will be there the same dates as you for our Disneymoon - good luck!!! :goodvibes

My fiance proposed at Cinderella's Royal Table this past december and it was wonderful. He got the engagement package which you can get the info for here: http://www.mouseweddings.com/wdwromance.html#cinder

They gave us the "special table" by the big window overlooking Fantasyland. After our dinner, the waitor said they had the desserts we saw on the menu, as well as couple special desserts which he would show us in a minute. Here brought out a silver platter which I thought was going to be a tray showing us the other desserts, but here was a ring on a rose bud laying in a glass slipper. He proposed and everyone stared and clapped and I laughed then cried;) The best part was that we had front row seats for the fireworks! They even held the fireworks up 5-10 minutes bc they were late getting the dessert off and didn't want him to be propsing while the fireworks were going off and so we could get all our pictures in before they turned off the lights in the restaurant. Oh yeah and they do have a photopass photographer there to take pictures of you. They give you the photopass card like normal. We had a special dessert too, a white chocolate slipper with chocolate mousse inside and caked underneath. They wrote around the plate Will you marry me in chocolate sauce. We also got to keep around cinderella's champagne flute and my favortie part, the beautiful mini glass slipper. It had our names and the date engraves in the slipper. I knew about the package before he proposed but didn't know he was going to propose there. Before I thought that something like that might be too cheezy or hokey bc so many people get engaged there, but it ended up to be very magical and I felt so special like a princess. princess: If you would liek me to post any pics, let me know.

We stayed at the GF for part of our stay last year and were booked for Victoria and Alberts late on the night of our anniversary for dinner. before we went for dinner we went for a walk down to the boat dock to watch the wishes fireworks you get the most amazing view there and because the narcoossees restaurant is close and they have the music piped in you get the wishes music too. My DF waited until the fireworks were over and then got down on one knee and proposed. (if you were to do it there be careful cause my DF dropped my ring and we nearly lost it through the spaces in the wood. ) when we got back to our room there was a bottle of champagne, a solid white choc mickey, strawberries coated in chocolate tuxedo's, a red rose and a card from the cm's at the GF. I think my DF paid for the champagne before we went out but because they had asked what we were celebrating they had given us everything else as a congratulations.
