Proposal @ Disneyland

I am planning to propose to my partner while at Disneyland this Halloween. My proposal hit a bit of a snag today because the family/friends that we were traveling with had to drop out of the trip. I'm still hoping I can pull it off as planned, but could use some advice.

The proposal is planned as a scavenger hunt around Disneyland. This is only our second trip to Disneyland so unfortunately I don't know the park as well as I should. The crowd calendar shows that whole week as low attendance, which I think will help.

I am going to slip out in the morning and have room service deliver the first clue. I've been "kidnapped" by Maleficent and he needs to solve the clues to find me. The whole thing will end at the wishing well where I'll propose.

I am hoping I can leave the clues with cast members. They will only need to hold onto them for a couple minutes while he hunts for the clue. Do you think I would be able to get cast members to help deliver the clues? The clues will be in envelopes that just need to be handed to him when he asks.

Is there a better place to propose other than the wishing well? I just assumed it would be a nice spot and out of the way.

Any Disneyland tips or pointers would be extremely helpful. I'm sort of scrambling now to change up the plans! Even if I can't pull it off well, I know he'll love the idea of the scavenger hunt and will appreciate the time I put into it.

Proposing in the Haunted Mansion is awesome!! That's what I want, a memorable Disney dream.

Clue help: "it's a small world" character parade

1. Does anyone know if the clock character parade runs even when the ride is closed for the holiday overlay? The overlay is happening while we are there. I want to do a clue based on the characters.

2. Do the characters in the parade always come out in the same order? If I make a puzzle that requires arranging flags to spell out a clue I need to make sure the characters come out in the right order each time.

Thanks in advanced!! I originally wanted him to ride the ride to work out the clue, but hopefully this will be a good alternative!

Tomorrow is the big day. Everything is in motion except a few of the riddles/clues have errors/changes now. We'll fix them as we go! Hopefully will be posting pictures.

Parks have been more crowded than I expected. Cast members lighter than expected. Think they are short handed. My friends that made it out will hopefully help me pull it off!

Magical! Everything went well. Hopefully tonight I can upload pics. We were married next to the wishing well by the castle.

There were a few bumps along the way, but a little pixie dust resolved them.
