Proof of time Question

I am going to be signing up to do the full for 2010

So far, I have run in a few five milers, and a few 5ks. I am signed up to do a 10K in February and will be doing a half in the early summer. At this point, I don't really have a clear picture of what my time would be for a full marathon.

If I sign up now, since I don't have proof of time for a 10k or longer, I will be placed in the last corral, right? Should I wait to sign up until I at least complete my 10K, or can I submit proof of time later after I have already signed up? In other words, can you submit proof of time after you sign up for the race, and if so, does anyone know what kind of a deadline they have used in the past?

Yes, you can submit proof later. You can even bring it to the expo when you pick up your packet and get re-assigned at that time.

I think unless you have an estimated finish time of 5 hours or less then they won't change your corral. I tried to submit proof of time with a 2:31 half time but since that would make it just a little more then 5 hours they didn't move me. I suggest waiting to sign up for the full since it will definately not sell out any time soon.

Thanks for the advice...I am hoping to finish in under 5 hours, so I think I will wait some.
