Is this correct? For the FULL, I can submit a time from a 10K??? I have a much better time from a 10K than I do a half pace wise and I'm assuming I'd want to send in the 10K time so I can get placed up higher in the corrals for a buffer, yes?

Shan: Yes you can use the 10K time. This is what Disney's enewsletter stated for the 2009 marathon:

Acceptable forms of proof of time are either a photocopy of finisher's certificate or a print out of race results. All forms of proof of time must be from a marathon, half marathon or any race 10K or longer, after July 1, 2006. If you do not provide of time you will be placed in the last start corral.

Seems like it's a win. There is the pace calculator that you can enter times and that would figure what your predicted long race time would be. Have you put the time in there from the events you have? Getting a faster time in a shorter race may not be better than a decent time in a longer race. Most of the calculators I've seen expect that as the race gets longer you slow some. Run those numbers in the calculator.

Where do you find something like this? I did put in my pace from the 10K and typed in marathon and it gave me a time, but are you saying there is some calculator you can type in the time and 10K and it will predict your pace for a full?

Thanks!

Here you go...

Just input your 10K time and it'll break out projected finish times for all races they cover based on that. Pretty neat. Of course, as you get faster those times do change.

It's also a great resource to get pacing for particular race times (For example, it you input a 2:35 half marathon, it'll show you what your race pace will need to be to get there.

Hope that helps!

You can also move up corrals if you improve your times after sending them in. If you train hard all summer and in the fall beat the time you sent in already, you can bring those results with you to the expo and get moved up. Well, if you can print them out that is :thumbsup2 .
