Proof of age?

We're taking our grandson WDW the end of Nov. He doesn't turn 3 until New Year's Day, so he shouldn't be charged admission. Do we need to bring a copy of his birth certificate or anything to prove that he's under 3?

I posted this question once and the replys I got were yes bring the birth certificate. I haven't gone yet so I can't tell you how it went.

We went in September and our son turned 3 in October. I brought the birth certificate with me but never needed to use it. Not even in the airport. My suggestion to you would be to take it just in case but you probably won't even need it.

In all the yrs I have been going to disney with my children, I have never had to show a birth cert. to show proof of age. I have never been asked how old they were when entering the parks, rest, etc. 2 of my children were very tall for their age. When I took my ds5 to Universal 2 yrs ago, I was questioned there when entering how old he was, they even bent down and tried to ask him. Didn't work tho, he has a speech problem and they didn't understand what he said....lol, the look on their face was worth the interigation.

We just got back last week with dd 3 months & dd3,she turned 3 the day after we got home so she was still free. She is also very tall for her age and we ere only asked twice how old she was and never asked for proof. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, Nikki! It's reassuring to hear it from someone who was just there!! My grandson is small, just starting to grow out of a size 2. So if I forget his birth certificate I won't sweat it. Thanks again.

I'm planning on bringing my DD passport with us into the parks & to the Pirate & Princess party. She just turned 9 last week, but she is 5 feet tall & 110 pounds. People think she is 12. The kids in her class this year asked her how many times she's been held back!

we just got back with our 2.5 year old twins a few weeks ago. I did copy their birth certificates to bring, but we never needed it. I don't regret bringing the certs...if I hadn't, I swear I probably would have needed it. lol. we ate at lots of character buffets and weren't charged for them, and no problems with the parks, either.

We brought birth certs...were never asked for them (DD is 38 1/2 inches and was 2 at the time of travel). We were asked at restaurants how old she was (for dining purposes) but everyone always took our word for it that she was only 2. However, I would STILL recommend bringing them...just in case.
