Proof of AAA question

I spoke with a CM and she told me I can't get my AAA discount because I have the Magic Your Way Package with the food plan. If I booked my hotel and my passes separately I could get my AAA discount... but then I cannot get the food plan.

Why is that?? I'm bummed.

You can only get the AAA discount on packages if you book directly with AAA. Disney only honors AAA room only discounts.

I agree. I think you must book your package with a local AAA agent and receive the discount that way. You can also then check to see if the Disney Visa discount code will apply as well.

I have just changed my res over to a pkg with ddp and tkts using my AAA disc. What is the disney visa code? I am paying the whole trip with my disney visa card.

I think it is ZBD or ZBh, something to that effect. There are several threads just below this one that have the codes in it. Mousesavers.com will also have the codes there for you to get. Good luck and let us know what kind of a discount you get.

We just booked our 2007 trip through AAA. The TAasked for our AAA number. I'm sure that there is some AAA TA's that don't ask for the number, but I think your taking a chance at losing your discount if you are truly not a AAA member.

Regarding the discounts; our AAA TA asked if we had a Disney Visa card. She said if a discount came out she would see if it was a better deal than the AAA rate.

I booked my upcoming trip to WDW through my local AAA office. As soon as I saw the general public code, I called her to convert my current package to this code (ZBG is MYW w/o dining & ZBH is MYW w/dining). She was able to do it with no problem and it saved me $320 from my original AAA package.

We booked thru AAA with our card and will be paying in full at our AAA office to receive our package. Will I still have to show my AAA card at check-in?

When we have purchased packages through AAA, we did not need our AAA card at check-in because the package was already paid off. When booking a AAA room-only rate, we have had to show our card.

I have booked the AAA rate directly with WDW a couple of times now and have NEVER had to show my card at check in. One time they asked for the number over the phone when I made the ressie.

TheWog is yet another poster who says they saved over AAA. I can't seem to get any better than my AAA TA's rate, though. Hmmm.
It is my understanding that the discount codes applied through AAA shouldn't be cheaper than if the discount is applied by Disney. However, the AAA package rate using the Disney Visa code was $200 cheaper than the quote I received from Disney for the same code.(had to make sure AAA applied the discount correctly!) I have no idea why and I'm not questioning it!
