SueM in MN said:My DDs remembered a lot about trips they took when they were little closer to the time they happened (like at 5 or 6, they had pretty vivid memories of our WDW trips from when they were much younger). They did some of the cute things people have mentioned on this thread that showed they remembered. As time passed, the memories got less distinct and some of the things they had remembered vividly had faded to the point they didn't remember them at all by the time they were teens.
Totally logical. I didn't mean to imply in the original post that she would remember forever, just that she does now. Heck, I can't even post a signature line with my trips to DL and WDW because I can't remember where I went in which years!!!!
I was so thrilled that my girl reacted favorably a month later, that I thought I'd share! So many people get a version of the "Why are you wasting your time going to Disney when s/he won't remember it?" question from family and friends...
I've been enjoying reading everyone else's stories. Maybe our little thread can help balance those questions for others trying to decide whether or not to do a trip with a small one.
