I know the promotion for Aug-Sept is free dining, and I also know that there are other months that give free park hoppers, etc. We are going in December, and I was wondering what the normal promotion is that month. We are using AAA to book if that has anything to do with it. I called them and asked, but the person I spoke to said they couldn't remember what it has been in the past, and kinda refused to ask anyone else if they remembered.

If I remember correctly it was around mid to late August of 2007 that Disney offered a discount for certain dates starting in Oct, Nov, & Dec. Don't think it went past Dec18th. Can't remember what % it was but we were able to switch to a JR Suite Club level at the Yacht Club for about $500 more but in the end we switch over to the BWI Club level due to some issues we had about the Jr Suite. Good luck !

Be weary, it appears this year the first couple of weeks in December are really filling up.

I think the first part of December will fill up faster due to the daily pricing. Use to be some guests would check in the final days of the less expensive season. Now there is not that buffer since daily pricing on the rooms.
I can see not checking around to see if anyone recalls anything. You couldn't really go by what someone thought they recalled. And promotions are plentiful and ever changing.

Walt Disney World has released general public discount codes for package guests vacationing between September 30 and December 23, 2007. In addition to your room, this package includes a Magic Your Way Base Ticket for each day of your stay. The number of rooms available with this package are limited and must be booked by 9/26/07. For a Magic Your Way Package, ask for discount code ZQG; use code ZQH for a Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining.
Example rates: five-night, six-day Magic Your Way Package that includes accommodations at select Disney Value Resort hotels and theme park tickets for as little as $362 per adult, $223 per junior (ages 10-17) and $184 per child (ages 3-9), based on double occupancy in a standard room.

I remember it was sometime in August as I was overseas in Sept for first part of month & back over to Disney later that month. Changed my resort in August with discount. But watch

We have already book through AAA to stay at POFQ from 12/9-12/1. If anything comes up that we can change to a nicer hotel for the same amount of $$$ can we do it? Will be get charged for changing?
